SOURCE: dishes have cloudy film on them

Try this. I want you to run your dishwasher empty, on the hottest water setting. Let it fill and just before it starts the wash cycle put in three cups of white vinegar. I expect your jets are clogged and the vinegar should hopefully open the jets back up. You don't need to add soap during this cleaning process. Works just like when you clean your coffee maker.

SOURCE: I get a film on the inside of dishwasher as well

Cloudy film is usually from hard water. Or it means the dishes arn't drying properly. you wanna make sure your using jet dry and that your not using liquid soap. Liquid soap is a killer of dishwashers and creates mineral deposits. If you have hard water getting a water softener helps too. Theres a cleaning agent called dishwasher magic that works to clean the dishwasher . You wanna make sure your heater is coming on too.

Glassware cloudy or filmy

Soak the glasses in vinegar and rub the cloudy film off.

I find there is better luck with glasses, and we wash a lot of them, if you use rinse aid. Higher temperatures might also help, but opinions vary.

My Asko built in, push button, dishwasher is leaving a film on my glasses. Even the racks themselves look like they have a film on them.

If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.

Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

There is a film on all the dishes and glasses. They look dirty when the wash is finished. You can feel the film.

Other things to try: CLR on the spray nozzles to loosen up cloggs.Check the filters to be sure they are clear.

Brand new dishwasher will not finish washing, it just beeps and the lights flash red - CANDY CDP 1L39W/K I have a brand new Candy dishwasher model CDP 1L39W/K that won't finish it's wash cycle. When I do P5 for a fast 5minute cycle I hear the dishwasher fill up, it begins to wash, and then after it drains the water, then the dishwasher begins beeping repeatedly and flashing the red light under the P5 setting. When I check the detergent slot it hasn't been used yet. When I select a long wash like P3 the same thing happens after it drains the water, so I think the error occurs after the first rinse cycle? When I push down reset all the lights flash and then blink sequentially just like the dishwasher is waiting for a new cycle input, but the water pump to drain the water never turns off. If I push the power button the unit turns off but the water pump keeps running. Only when I disconnect the power cord from the wall will the pump turn off. If I reconnect the power cord the pump turns back on sometimes. I read online that maybe the flood switch was hit and to tilt the unit and drain water, I took off the kick panel and didn't see any water, and tilted the unit back and forth as instructed. The first time I tried this I think it may have helped the water pump turn off after I reconnected the power cord. But when I ran a cycle again nothing changed. I also waited a few days afterwards because I was busy at work enough time for any water to dry up but this didn't help. I'm in Vietnam and the customer support is Vietnamese so I thought I would try this before I have to see about the warranty and shipping the unit far north for repair. Any help is really appreciated, I can post a video of the beeping, blinking lights, and water pump running after I unplug the unit it'd help. I so badly want this dishwasher to just work, it was a big purchase here and a lot people don't understand why I'd buy it so now that it's not working it's really embarrassing! Thanks again!
