May 16, 2009 - A Brinks fire safe uses a dual-lock system consisting of a key and a numeric combination. To open the safe, you have to unlock the combination a specific way, then use the key.
you should keep buying brinks just buy a diffrint one because all brinks are made of hardend steel which is what they make the armored trucks out of and their bullet proof fire proof and most can withstand 500 pounds of force. my brinks can withstand 1000 pounds of force. plus you can send the lock to brinks and they will replace it free of charge. since your lock is defective they will replace it free of charge. i hope i helped.
If you have both pieces of the broken key, it can be duplicated.
I did not find that key code listed for Brinks, but perhaps you can get one from Brinks. A locksmith can make a key, check the cost. You really don't want to pay more than the cost of replacing the lock.
