Lexmark X5150 All-in-One Error: 50

"When the printer fuser fails it prompts many HP laser printers to display an ERROR CODE 50 service code" same could be said about the lexmark fuser malfunction
replacining a fuser can be expensive might be better to get another printer unless you have a special bond like me i find it hard to just throw away things that have gone bad

Machine error 50 is a error in Purge unit. You can't fix it by yourself and your printer need service. In most case the cost of repair is more than cost of new printer.

Error 50 will be a faulty fuser unit or DC controller board. Try replacing the fuser unit.

I am not sure this will stay fixed but after i cleaned the pcb's and checked the connections and let the unit sit overnight the printer works just fine. If this does not stay fixed I will contact you again.

Unable to print code 50

what error code do you receive? Is it 30 only or does it toggle between 30 and 50 (watch some more 5 minutes!).

Anyway, two solution for this named errors:
1. Only error 30:
There IS some paper piece left inside the printer. Mostly could this be found on the very very left side (seeing from front as in normal use). Open scanner and have a good look into the edges. You will find a small piece of paper left there.

2. 30 and 50 (toggling)

See here same issue:

(enlarge browser window to see pic some what better).
