Hold in the Rest button for at least 10 seconds and it will reset it back to factory default and you should be able to get in then.

How do I reset the administration password on wireless router? Belkin F5D8236-4. I set password, and now I'm locked out! Password I set initially never did work, so the moment I set it I was locked out.

Hello,

Here's what I found from the manual

Restoring the Factory Defaults
Press and hold the "Reset" button for at least 10 seconds, then release
it. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The "Router" light will
begin to blink. When the "Router" light becomes solid again, the restore
is complete.

Here's a link to the manual as well:

I hope this helps.

Good luck!!

I have belkin F5D7230-4. i forgot my password. how do i get or change my password

You'll have to reset the router by pressing the reset button in the back for about 10 seconds. Once that is done, you'll have to go into the router settings to setup your password and security.

How do i fine my secruity code

You have to log in at the router's password with your browser and locate the wireless network - security settings. There is the security code you are looking for.

How to secure the wireless network

You want to secure the wireless network.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable.
Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page.
Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured

Forgot password

Default is blank, or no password. If you've added a password and forgot, you need to reset router.

Back of router is small pinhole reset button-
"Restoring the Factory Defaults
Press and hold the Reset button for at least ten seconds then release it. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The Power/Ready light will begin to blink. When the Power/Ready light becomes solid again, the restore is complete."

Use the reset button near where the AC adapter plugs in. Hold it in for at least ten seconds. This should set it back to factory, allowing you to set another password.

Hi

if you have not sorted this.. then if you login to one of your laptops to your router address which is probably 192.168.2.1 or if you type ipconfig in the command prompt (if you don't know command prompt is then if you click on start and click on run and type in there cmd- this will open a black little window called Command Prompt). Type in there ipconfig.... whatever the IP address is for your Default gateway type that in Internet Explorer and should open up your wireless router page.. go to wireless secruity and see what your password is...

hope that helps
