Question about LG Motion 4G for MetroPCS with new service agreement

1 Answer

Lg motion will not connect to network, only thru wifi, i can make/recieve calls. Also no 4g, 3g, 1x by the signal bars.

I have tried everything as far as resets, reprogramming, it says my ip address is unavailable, and the mobile network state is disconnected?

When this happened to me it was user error. Under system settings/Data Usage, the mobile option was turned off. I must have turned it off when I was checking my usage at some point.

SOURCE: EVERYTIME I TRY TO CONNECT MY LG OPTIMUS T TO MY

i went into the wifi set up on the optimus s and went to the bottom of the menu that shows what networks are available and clicked on add network. From there I entered the SSID from my router, then put in the password for the router, (password will depend on whether or not you have yours password protected) I hit enter from there and it connected and stayed connected.

make sure your not connected to a wifi connection with a password, or in the interm, just use the internet off 3g if you have it, or edge networks.

How do I prevent my Android phone from jumping from 3× to 1×?

You mean displaying 1x instead of 3G at the top of the screen? That's going to depend on what kind of signal your phone can get. If you see 1x up there, it means your phone can't get a 3G (or 4G) signal. Move to a spot where the signal is better.

LG Mach LS860 won't connect to 4G

I alsohave a sprint service plan, it sucks but it works when it wants to. the issue with the 3g and 4g with sprint is this. wherever you friend is located and the towers that are around she will be able to get 4g signal, if not then the phone/ network will automaticaly go to 3g as a backup. this would explain why shecan still send and recieve txt and make calls still.

try going into system setting , under share and connect tap more then scroll down to mobile networks, she cant adjust the 4g settings because its automatic. She can then choose network mode and set it to to CDMA aka 3g. when she chooses this the phone will operate in 3g mode. The net will be a bit slower than 4g , but it'll work. now when she goes out of that dead zone into a area where 4g is available then she can repeat this process and switch back over.

LTE/CDMA is what the Sprint network is running on most of the time though. CDMA= 3g
LTE=4g
CDMA+LTE= 3g and 4g switching automaticaly.

good luck

How do i get my sprint phone to work on wi-fi ?

sprint phone or samsung ?
Sprint offers high-speed WiFi service for existing Nextel customers, and provides an extensive network of hotspots in the United States at locations commonly frequented by business travelers, such as hotels, airports and conference centers.
Getting Sprint WiFi requires a Nextel customer account, connection-management software, a MyNextel user account and a computer that supports high-speed broadband.
Sprint WiFi plans include an unlimited WiFi hotspot and an unlimited PC access plan with a WiFi hotspot package.

Sign up for WiFi service through Nextel by calling 1-800-SPRINT1.
Download and install the Nextel Connection Manager software.
Nextel offers the WiFi version of the connection-management software at the Sprint Nextel website (see Resources).
Register your account via MyNextel on the Sprint Nextel website (see Below).

Samsung Epic 4G Phone into a Wi-Fi Hotspot

The Samsung Epic 4G smart phone allows you to convert your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect up to five devices.
Such a set-up will keep you from running around searching for an area that offers free Wi-FI. If you're stuck in an airport or staying overnight at a hotel, you won't have to pay extra for Internet service.
You can connect your laptop or other media device to your phone's Wi-Fi network.

Press the "Home" button, which looks like the outline of a house, on the bottom of your Samsung Epic 4G phone.
Click the "Menu" button to the left of the "Home" button.

Click the "Settings" icon, which looks like a gray box with a spoke in the middle.

Scroll through the list and click "Wireless & Networks."

Press "4G" until a check mark appears, indicating the 4G network is enabled.

Click the "Home" button.
The 4G icon will appear to the left of your signal bars in the upper-right corner of your screen.
The separate sets of bars above the 4G logo indicate the strength of your 4G signal.
When the bars above the 4G logo are completely gray and the 4G logo is white, you have a weak signal.
When you are no longer receiving a 4G signal, your 4G logo will be gray and a 3G logo will appear, indicating that the 3G network is now enabled. If both of the logos disappear, you are not receiving any signal.
You must have either a 3G or a 4G signal to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Enable Sprint Hotspot
Press the "Applications" icon, a blue box with four whites squares in it, in the lower-right corner of your Samsung Epic 4G phone.

Press the "Sprint Hotspot" icon, which looks like a phone with two signal bars on the right side, until a check mark appears to the right of the icon, signaling the Spring hotspot function is enabled.
A pass-key allowing you to connect other devices to the phone's network will appear on the screen.
Write the pass-key down.

Enable Wi-Fi on your laptop or other device that you want to tether to your Samsung Epic 4G phone.

Search for the Wi-Fi network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone.
The name of the network will begin with "SPH-D700XXX."
To change the name of the Wi-Fi network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone, press the "Menu" button; the "Settings" icon; and "Device Name." Enter the new name for phone's Wi-Fi network.

Click the network affiliated with your Samsung Epic 4G phone on the device you want to tether to your phone'ss Wi-Fii network.
Enter the pass-key, and click "OK."
Your device will now be tethered to the Wi-Fi hotspot on your Samsung Epic 4G phone.

I suppose that what you mean is that you can access your wifi networks but not your service provider's network.

If that's what you mean, check the user's manual CLICK HERE page 122.

What is 3G?

Hi there. 3G is the network your phone is on. Your carrier (like Orange, or AT&T) provides the 3G network for your phone to connect to. What 3G means is that you have a signal from your phone with an active voice and data connection. 3G is faster than the old EDGE network, but slower than the most current 4G networks. Basically, as long as you have the 3G logo on your phone (with a capital G) you have access to the internet and applications that need data to function will work. I hope that helps! Alex
