Connecting Speakers to Marantz NR1402

HI,
You can use banana plugs to connect speakers to the speaker post. Connect the wire to the banana plug then insert the banana plug in the speaker post.

If you serch in google with the name speaker banana plug then you will get picture of different types.

You can buy this banana plugs in any nearby electronic spare part shop. They all stock this item. Normally comes in pair ( red, black)

I have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond III speakers that wer given to me. They worked for anout 1 year and now they don't work. Are they worth repairing?

BOTH died?? Together?

The subjective answer to that question is yours to arrive at. It would probably depend on whatever is wrong, availability of parts and overall cost to repair them.

Hello, I have a woofer from a set of diamond 8.3 Wharfedale speaker. The woofer sounds like the coild is rubbing and emits a scratching sound. Looking for possible repir solution and the model no. for the...

Hello
The voice coil of your speaker is scratching with its magenet body inside. It can't be repaired. Whatever we do will go in vein. there is no possibility other than replacing this speaker. Some people will recone it, but qulaity cannot be assured. it will sound; but with respect to the other speaker, it won't match. Coil position, resistance, number of turns per unit length ete are determining the magnetic strenth of the coil, and therby sound. Wharfedale eill have its secret, and they wont give it out, as they have gained it with tremndous reserch.
So in my opinion, it will be best for you to replace the damaged speaker with and other one of same type and number. All details will be printed on its body. Buy the original one. Do not compromise. Woofers are the heart of any sound system. Keep this in mind. OK.

Drivers swap

With some speaker cabinets, the manufacturer will put some form of adhesive to seal the speaker to the cabinet so there's no space between them. I've often found that all it takes is to use a thin bladed flat screwdriver and insert it gently between the speaker frame and the cabinet to break the seal and free the speaker. You may need to tap the screwdriver in a bit, then twist it, but if you find you must use a lot of force, this may not be the solution for you. Please rate my answer, thanks.

Speaker connection from Denon AVR 2105 to Wharfedale suround

The spkrs sound like they are bi-amp spkrs, meaning you have multiple terminals on the backs of each spkr, the jumpers on the spkrs should be connected as such. Now you just connect the spkrs according to the Denon spkr conection diagram. Do not use the surround back unless you have 6 or 7 pair of spkrs

I have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 7.2 Anniversary speakers and one of them has a blown woofer - how do I get into the speaker - there are no apparent screws to access into the cabinet? Help Also,...

On the back of the speaker are six deep holes that screws the back panel to front baffle. There are six sponge plugs normally. You have to dig these out with
a long standard screwdriver or however you can get them out to expose the 6 Phillips head screws below them.Remove the 6 Phillips head screws and the whole speaker comes apart, leaving just the box.Good luck.

Pioneer VSX-815 speaker wiring

You can hook them up either way, the banana jacks are good for hooking two speakers to one terminal (ie one through the botton, one banana) but the electrical connection is the same either way. Sometimes the banana capable jacks are on speakers A and speakers B, and the surround don't accept banana plugs, your stuck with how your reciever is wired.

Problem with Diamond 8.4

No - sounds like the speaker/ cross over is faulty - I assume there are only one set of connections on the back - on some speakers you have 4 connections for dual wiring - and you usually bridge those out Play a piece of music with some drumming in it and you should see the midrange move a lot Just to make sure there is not a problme with the Amp - swap the speakers around - so you have a left speaker and a right speaker connected physically move the left speaker over to the rightside and connect to right side cables - and the right speaker to the left side and connect to left cables Now if the problem goes over to the other side - its the speaker thats fault if it stays on the sam side - its the amp
