Question about Dryers

1 Answer

Dryer runs for only about 15 minutes then shuts off.

The dryer keeps shutting off every 15 minutes or so. Clothes are not drying due to this problem. Can you tell me why this is happening?

Clean your sensors if you have them. They might have junk on them that could be forming a moisture barrier preventing the sensors from feeling the wetness of them clothes. The dryer may think them clothes is dry because it cannot sense wetness.

Dryer thinks clothes are dry but they are not

1 start with claening the sensor strips located just inside the unit itself under the lint filter. pop yourheadinside dryer drum andyoull see 2 metal strips. witha scotchbrite pad, give it ascouruing, to remove any build up form fabric softener / dryer sheets
2 check for good, not kinked or clogged venting
3 replace the thermsitor about 30 bucks.
