SOURCE: Maytag washer PAV2300 water over flow

tidalwave If the water continues to flow even when the washer timer and the power to the washer are off then you are right and the water inlet valve has to be replaced. If it does it only when the washer is on then it could be different problems. In that case the first thing you have to check is the water level switch. This is the device which controls the water level. Remove the power first.Open the control panel and you will see the switch on the left side. There is the clear plastic hose connected to the switch. Make sure the hose is not loose. This is one of the most common cause of overflow. If it got loose, drain out all water from the washer before you reconnect the hose. If this is not the issue then you have to check the continuity across the water level switch therminals. When there is no water you should measure the continuity across therminals 11 and 12 (gray and orange wires). Whet the tub has filled up with water you should measure the continuity across therminals 11 and 14 (gray and light blue wires). If the continuity is wrong replace the water level switch. If you are going to do it, make sure there is no water in the tub before you will remove the clear plastic hose from the old switch. Good luck. Gendos. post back...

SOURCE: Maytag washer PAV2300 water over flow

I had the same problem and went out to a website for Maytag washers. That website advised that the problem could be mechanical or electrical. In my case, the problem was a clogged tube and it took only ten or fifteen minutes to fix.
0. Unplug the machine.
1. Open up the front of the washer. Along the left hand side is a long transparent tube. The tube connects to a wallet size container on the side and near the bottom of the tub.
2. Inspect the transparent tube. It may be clogged where the tube meets the wallet sided container.
Note: When the tub is full, it creates pressure in that wallet size compartment which sends air up that tube to a pressure switch located within the panel at the top of the washer. The pressure switch flips and tells the machine - stop filling the tub with water. My machine had a visible clog in the bottom of the tube that carries the air from the bottom of the tub up to the pressure switch.
3. Disconnect the tube and clean. I used a pipecleaner to get most of the mold out. To completely clear the tube, remove the top panel and disconnect the tube from the pressure switch in the top panel and blow air down the tube.
4. Reconnect, test - and you should be good to go. If not, your pressure switch may be dead.

Water intake does not stop

there is a pressure sensitive control that is activated by a small tube running from the bottom of the tub up to the top of the machine
as the water in the tub rises ,air that is trapped exerts pressure on a diaphragm in the sensor
the pressure is set by your selection of the wash load /level
when that pressure is reached the sensor pressure is overcome and the switch is activated . as a result the inlet water solenoid is shut off and the wash program starts
now knowing how it works , check for the small hose is not full of water when the tub is empty, the hose is intact and not cracked or broken and the pressure switch is operational ( disconnecting the hose at the tub and blowing air into it ( like blowing up a balloon) will activate the switch
if that is working ,the next point ti check is the solenoid that switches of the tap water with the machine on as if you are doing a wash the water will start to flow . blow into the tube and the switch should shut off the water flowing into the tub and start the wash cycle
if the machine starts to wash but the water still flows then it is the solenoid that is faulty
fix is a replacement unit

Will a flow switch stop the tub of any operation

Is the board getting power, is the control lighting up?
Do you see any error codes on the top side control?
Improper flow will give you an error code, caused by flow issues or a faulty flow switch. Make sure all gate valves are open and the water can flow freely.
If not then check your Hi Limit sensor. This is the overheat safety sensor if it fails the tub will not function at all.

Yes you are on track. The pressure switch controls the level of water in your washing machine. This does this by a small chamber on the side of the tub, this chamber fills with water wich in turns creates pressure in the chamber. There is a hose connected to this chamber that runs up to the switch. When the right amount of pressure is applied to the switch it stops the water flow. If the hose becomes clogged up, gets punctured or cracks and leaks the hose will need to be cleaned or replaced. If the hose looks good and has no holes check the pressure switch by checking it for continuity when blowing on the end of the hose. This will close the switch and simulate pressure. If you have no continuity when the switch is closed replace the pressure switch, this video will walk you thru replacing and testing.

De error code on samsung topo loader stops working

0E - OVER-FLOW ERROR

Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER switch OFF. The tub is drained for 2 minutes if a frequency of more than 25 KHz is detected.

Water keeps filling and doesnt go to next cycle

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tube. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

Kenmore 80 series overflow

The water level switch senses the water level in the wash tub. It does this through a plastic tube which runs from the switch in the control console down to the side of the outer tub, near the bottom . The tube is filled with air. As water enters the tub it also enters the tube. As water climbs inside the tube, it pushes on the air trapped inside and increases the air pressure. When the air pressure reaches a certain level, it triggers the switch. Inspect the air tube for kinks, breaks or damage. The tube should also be free of water. The tubing should be securely connected to the bottom of the outer tub and to the bottom of the water level switch. If the Tube is full of any water, remove it from the switch and replace it with a new one. Make sure that the new is correctly fitted to the switch.

The switch routes current from the timer control to the temperature switch and the water inlet valve when the tub needs to be filled. Once full, the pressure switch cuts the current and reroutes it to the motor on the timer control to continue the cycle. If the tube replacement dose not improve the fill performance, and it continues to overfill, replace the timer.

No Ice on GE Side by SIde -TFX25JRYF-WW

Usually there is a big metal frame-switch that controls the flow of water. It is located right above the ice tub. If your ice tub is full the ice cubes push this metal switch up so as to stop water supply. If you remove the ice tub out, chances are that you have accidentally pushed the metal switch all the way up until it clicks and stays there. In this position, the ice mold water flow is permanently stopped.

Insert the tub again in its position slowly. Before fully inserting it, pull the metal switch down inside the empty tub. With the switch down, insert the ice tub back into position.

If that does not apply for your refridgerator, look for a similar water flow switch to turn back on the water flow.

Hope this helps
