My current Dynasty range runs on LP and now that I'm having natural gas installed, I'd like to have this stove run on that as well. I've been looking all over the place on how to do this, but there is nothing clear on what I need to do. I've even tried to find professionals and most of them have said they don't do this (I'm in the Plainview, Long Island, NY area). Does anyone have any guidance for me on what parts I would need and a manual for doing this? My range is: DGR-248-4GCB with the serial no: 250894V
Any qualified gas installer can convert it for you. Pretty straightforward. They do it all the time. A lot of new appliances come with either option and they convert them on the spot. Mainly the gas injector orifice size needs increasing. They can do this with out requiring spare parts. They just make it easier. Will also require an appliance regulator to be installed.
SOURCE: Converting a GE Profile Gas Range from LP to natural gas
GE ships gas ranges set for natural gas, with the LP orifices included, usually on a metal tab held with one screw right near the regulator (where the gas connects to the range). If the range was converted to LP, the person who did the conversion was suppose to put the natural gas orifices back in that holder. If they are missing, comment back on the exact model number and I can look up the part number(s) for you.
