If the amp has a socket with a magnetic cartridge amp built in - often marked "phono" then yes. If it hasn't then you would need to buy a Magnetic Cartridge Pre-Amp. That will the plug into any available Aux or Tape socket.

Can't hook up my turntable to my pioneer reciever VSX-519V,I see no hook-up for it!

You need to have a turntable with a built-in preamp. The receiver does not have a phono preamp in it like the older receivers did.

How do I connect a Akai AP207 turntable to my Yamaha HTR 5630 receiver???

If you want to connect the turntable all you do is get an audio cable white and red on the end. Then hook one end to the back of the reciever and the other end to the same connectors on the turntable. Make sure its output on the turntable and input on the reciever. Good luck...

I have Pioneer Amplifier with Phono Inputs. Also I have an Akai stereo Equalizer. I want to connect my Turntable to the pioneer amplifier through Akai stereo Equalizer to have a better sound quality. Is it...

hook the turntable "directly" up to the "phono" inputs. if it sounds normal this way, and not loud and distorted, then you have to plug the turntable up that way, directly to the reciever's phono input.

you can hook the eq up through the "tape in/out" jacks.

take the tape record out jacks, and hook them up to the input of the eq, and take the tape play input jacks and hook them up to the output of the eq. then, to use toe eq, select whatever input you want eq'ed, while also selecting "tape monitor"

My turntable works on old reciever and not new one

A traditional turntable only works on Phono (which contains special preamplification and equalization circuitry designed to raise the the level and flatten out the response of a phono cartridge).

After you do that, iIf you're not having hum problems I wouldn't worry about the ground. Or try it again on the FM Ground.
