The flickering may not be caused by a corrupt driver, it could be the impending failure of the fluorescent back light of the display or its high voltage supply.

Trying driver replacement though is the first thing to try.
If the original driver is corrupt, you can try the following;

- Right-click on My Computer
- Left-click on Properties
- Click on Hardware tab
- Click on Device Manager
- Locate and open Display Adaptors
- Locate the video listing for your
- Highlight and delete this
- Reboot the computer

If Windows does what it should (no guarantee on this!), it will 'find' a 'new device' and install the driver for it.

That usually indicates battery is beginning to go bad. Eventually it will not hold a charge and will need to be replaced.

this system is one of my oldest patients.. if your shockwave has crashed you should be able to boot back into windows without seeing a message and go to adobe.com and then downloads, and download the newest version of shockwave, adobe flash, and adobe reader your system will run the newest of those programs. i would also suggest updating your Java directly from Java.com

Shockwave add on not working

To play youtube or any other videos through the browser, Adobe flash player is most recommended. Instead of using Adobe Shockwave, you should use adobe flash player and see if this solves your issues.

You can get the latest flash players from here:

1.IE browser: http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/
2. Non-IE browser: http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

You must download the supported architecture ( 32 or 64 bit) installer as necessary.

If you like to stay with adobe shockwave, you should use the latest version of Shockwave Player from here: http://filehippo.com/download_shockwave/

If the above methods do not solve your problem, my advice is to upgrade your browser to the latest version or to use another browser of the latest version.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay

I get shockwave crashed but not all the time when I am on my e mail and someone told me that I need to download it

Reinstall shockwave flash. since it's really two separate programs, you need to install two things, but first you need to manually uninstall both. to uninstall shockwave, go here: http://download.shockwave.com/pub/shockwave/uninstaller/swuninstaller.exe. as for flash, go here: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe. once you do that, restart your computer just in case there are any final uninstallation things that need to be done, and then reinstall both, using these two links: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ for flash and http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ for shockwave. this SHOULD fix your problem. don't try to just reinstall both without uninstalling, because for some reason that doesn't seem to work (though it might for your OS). sometimes though this may only be a fix for a few days,

I need drivers to help me listen to live broadcast from frequency modulation radio stations

if you go to http://support.dell.com and download the latest drivers for your laptop ( you can find the drivers either using the asset tag or selecting laptops --> latitude --> D600 and click on ok

You need flash and shockwave ( advisably latest versions installed ( restart internet explorer or your web browser and the dell website should work correctly )

Once the audio drivers are updated then it should be fine assuming its not muted or anything like that

Shockwave player

Try to download shockwave from this website. http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ and then save it first to your computer then run it. This is its requirement for PC windows:
  • Intel Pentium IV 600MHz or higher
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or later
  • Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
  • Firefox 2.0

Also, I believe shockwave requires some flash updates on your computer and java update. Did you run updates on java and shockwave? Plus make sure that when you are installing shockwave you have admin rights and you anti-virus is not seeing it as a virus.
