OK, I bought my daughter a Sansa M240 mp3 player. We downloaded the software that came with it. When I open up My Computer, the player isn't showing up. I opened Windows Media and clicked on Sync, and it says that there is no portable device found. I have about 500 songs on my computer and she wants a lot of them on her player and I don't know how to do it. I DID read the instructions that came with it, but that didn't help either. Please help. Thanks in return for any advise you can give. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

You can use Windows Media Player and sync the devices. You can also simply connect your m240 to your computer and double click it, then drag your mp3 files into the music folder.

No more space

Try to scan the anti virus, maybe there's some virus that can corrupt when you are adding some songs. If you check it and was not found yet, there's a possibility that your memory have a problem.

Adding music to my sansa e250

you must use windows media player 10 or 11 to sync songs into the sansa. Make sure you sync it this way or else your songs will not go in properly.

Can't delete files off of my sandisk m240

I can help with the reset problem. You have to format your player by right clicking on the Sansa icon. This will erase all your files, so back them up if you wish to keep them. The folder stucture on the Sansa is not very logical and I still haven't figured it out. I have had my player almost 2 months now. hope this helps. J
