Question about Car Audio & Video
Only the menu button on the deck is functioning when it's held down for a few seconds. The only thing that works is my remote.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Sounds like a bad connection with the faceplate and the multi connector that the faceplate mates with when closed. check for dirt and bent pins on both connectors. Luck

SOURCE: Interface Problems
If you're pressing on the "rotary encoder", then it's you. But if you're not and instead you're just turning it without pressing, you may have a defective unit. Try literally pulling on the thing while turning it. If that avoids triggering the other functions then either you'll have to get used to being gentle, or you need to take it back or send it to Alpine (again, probably just the front faceplate unit needs work...not the whole radio).

Check your wires they might be touching steel around your car mostly look at your yellow and red wires those are the 1' that give it power and light to your radio also check your radio fuse in the back.
