Wireless is enabled by using the switch / button in front of the notebook. It is located in the right hand side, in front.

Assuming the card is correctly installed, either touch the wireless icon to the right of tthe power button (it will turn red and a confirmatory dialogue pops up) OR press and hold the Fn key and press F7. The same dialogue pops up.
If this fails, check the card appears in device manager and shows 'this device is working properly'. (Control panel/device manager). If not, uninstal it and reboot.
I assume you are familiar with connection procedures to your router.
