Faulty response to buttons, turns itself off

It has always had a button press problem, sometimes needed to press 2 or 3 times. Now, it takes many many presses at different angles to get any response from any button, and then after a few seconds, the blower turns off.

I am electrically and mechanically qualified, I need a schematic of the control system so i can see whats wrong.

No, it is not a fan problem.
The lights on the buttons do not come on.
It is a control electronics problem, and I am asking for a schematic to the control system.

  • dave450 Mar 11, 2009

Pinnacle Raised vent System, model RV36.
I put that in both the original request and the problem identification box.
Do those not get to you?

And, I should add that the raise/lower function exhibits the same failure.

Do you have a control system schematic?

This sounds like a fan power relay problem - If you can give a specific make and model number, and approximate age (if known), I could be more helpful.

True....need the make and model. It's possible the switch is bad. How old is the unit?

Nope...did not get those...but I am looking for a schematic for you....

Looking at appears that you should have the wiring diagram attached to the unit. It is either on the inside of the ducting inside the blower chassis

The filters need to be removed and the diagrams are usually on the sides or in the back.

The diagrams are included in the mini manual usually located in the blower chassis or underneath the duct covers.

My 125 jonway madness electric start wont start the bike at all, however all other electrics are fine. Please help

Is it trying to fire? Does it turn over on the button but fails to spark up or does pressing the button have no effect on the system? If nothing happening when you press the starter then it could be a few things. The button may be faulty, the starter relay may be faulty or the starter itself may be the problem. Make sure the fuses are all okay, all connections are secure and the battery is fully charged. Follow the positive, red cable from the battery and you should find the starter relay. With the ignition turned on, use a screwdriver and short across the 2 terminals on the relay. Do not touch the frame with the screwdriver and only try for a short time. Does the engine turn over or even start running? If it does I would suspect the relay or the starter button. If it doesn't then maybe the starter motor is at fault. This is not always the reason but in my experience it is the most common.

Solution 1:
  • Unplug the printer.
  • Remove the faulty Cartridge
  • Plug in the printer and press and hold power button
  • Keep it held down. Press Resume twice, and this should reset the fault.
Solution 2:
  • The last cartridge installed may be faulty.
  • Install a new cartridge

Solution 3:
  • When error is indicated, turn power switch off so green light is extinguished.
  • Hold down resume button and hold down power button so both are held down at same time
  • When green light comes on, continue holding down power button and let resume button go, then press resume button twice.
  • Let power button go.
  • Press resume button four times, power button should be released before doing this.
  • Wait until printer settles down, if power is off, turn on. If power will not come on, remove power cord from back of printer, then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in again and turn power on.

Cannon i865. Operator Error message and blinking orange light (5 blinks). Switching off power does not reset. Also used reset technique from this site, this does not seem to work. Any more ideas?

5 flashes indicates a faulty printhead or possibly a problem with the p/head contacts. Try removing the head which is easier if you take the cartridges out first(no tools required) and re-seat it having checked the contacts for dirt.

If that doesn't work it may be that the waste ink tank is full. Try this ...
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I have a sanyo tv and the remote is no longer functional, i dug out my old urc11a universal controller and would like to know what codes i need to set the controller to my tv.

Try pressing the 'set code' or 'code' button and keep pressing it until the light indicator lights. Press tv and after that you are suppose to enter the 3 or 4 digit code and press enter. However, if you don't know the code, try to repeatedly press the power on button of the remote until you get a response from the tv set. sometimes it would take a hundred times or more before you can get a response. Once you get a response, press enter. I have tried it many times in universal remote controls and it works.

Alignment page prints every time printer is turned on. HP1315 on Windows Vista Home Premium.

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )

Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

Pioneer SD-P6091 Projection TV - TV turns off by itself

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

LCD button sticks sometimes....very annoying.

I would bet it's the graphics your using. If your using a high resolution graphic as a button, the remote may have trouble due to memory limitations. You need to drop the resolution on the graphics if that is the case.

Let's eliminate the chance of a faulty remote by using one of the factory installed templates. If you still have the same response time problems contact me for some advanced troubleshooting.

Hi Barb22,

Sounds faulty to me, I'd take it back to the store and get a replacement. However, I guess you want that DVD out first? I'm not sure this will work because the units logic board is mostly likely faulty and will prevent the DVD transport from opening. Unplug the unit and press the eject button, keeping it pressed plug the unit back in. If the unit does not come on then press the power button too. If the unit starts to open release the button immediately. It's unlikely to eject, but you might get lucky.

Sorry I can't be of much further help.
