Most of these files are not in use and probably these files will not be used in future. So, you should delete them from your hard disk.

What should be done to remove these files from your laptop's hard disk? Through restart, your laptop will auto detect the CD.
- After detecting the CD, your laptop will ask you "press any key to continue..." If your laptop will not ask that's mean there is something wrong with your booting setting, CD-ROM, or CD. Check them one by one and make sure everything is perfect.
- Press the keyboard key according to your laptop's model that brings up the recovery menu. Most common keys for the recovery menu are "F2," "F8," or "Ctrl" and "F11".
- Select a language from menu at the top of the screen and click on "Next" button. Ive deleted all info on my laptop gatewayp-7805u i now have no operating sysyem and no boot loader. unable to to put new operating ssystem on. For ive wiped all partition

You'll have to obtain new OS software. The reset disks assume that the original OS is still installed, and help to restore it to factory defaults (i.e. exactly how it was when you purchased it.) If you are looking for Windows, you'll have to visit a local store to purchase a new copy (generally office supply stores, or PC stores carry them.) Alternatively you can find other free Operating systems online using another computer, and create an install disk to start over. (Ubuntu is very popular and easy to use.)

Doing a wipe like that erases EVERYTHING so the computer has nothing to load. The only fix is to get new OS installation software and re-install.

I'm unsure how to restore my Acer Aspire 5810t to Factory Settings

Hello,

just to clarify: Restoring a computer to its original factory settings also cleans up the C drive and removes all the viruses and old programs that bog down a computer and make it slow and unresponsive. You can do it by following steps below:

  1. Click Start -> Programs -> Acer Recovery Management, a dialg box will pop up
  2. Click Restore, then Restore Sysyem to Factory Default
  3. A warning box will pop up, read it carefully, and in case you really want to restore your factory settings, press Yes
  4. As a last, just press Start

Unit is one year old. Worked fine this morning, got back into car and GPS asking set-up questions but a the time prompt it flashes off and starts the set up over againi with language prompt. Keeps...

try this originally posted by gt3rs i just did it and it worked for me Here is a solution that worked in my case (constant reboots after voice select)
  1. Plug your tomtom into your PC.
  2. Run TomTom Home
  3. Select the option to run your TomTom through your PC (TT Home)
  4. You should be greated with the select language screen
  5. Then simply select language etc.
  6. When you get to the voice selection: select a voice (here TTHome should freeze) <- also strangely enough notice the cancel button doesn't on the screen (as it does when doing this on the device)
  7. Don't panic TT Home should start working again in a few seconds
  8. Disconnect your TomTom and that should have solved the problem, the normal map screen should show up upon starting up your TomTom
This solved the issue for me, hope it does for you good luck!

My sony vaio laptop was from japan. model VPCEB37FJ. I want to change the language from japaneese to english

The original language of the operating system cannot be changed without also updating the associated driver files, and those driver files are not available in languages other than the one that ships on the computer. However, the operating system can be configured to display in a different language by upgrading to the Ultimate version of the Vista operating system and then installing and using the appropriate Windows Vista language pack.

To change the language settings, a language pack must first be installed. Follow this procedure to download and install a language pack.

  1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel .
  2. In the Control Panel window, click Clock, Language, and Region .
  3. In the Clock, Language, and Region window, under Region and Language , click Install or uninstall display languages .
  4. Under Choose to install or uninstall display languages , choose Install display languages .

  5. Under Choose your method of install , choose Launch Windows Update

    png61178.png

  6. Under Select the updates you want to install , select the Language Packs to install and click the OK button.

NOTE: The Language Pack updates will be listed under the optional updates .

Nvx430bt jensen gps initialization error no language files

Hi.

This happens when the language files stored in your Jensen's memory get damaged. The Sat Nav system will look for new language files on your USB memory, and return the error.

Often the problem happens because you formatted the disk.

I suggest to start trying to set language to English.

In theory you are supposed to restore the flash image from original CD or computer backup.

A first attempt to fix the problem can be done resetting the Sat Nav. Just take out the battery for ten seconds.

If you have the original CD, files to be restored are in the IGO folder, and must be copied into the flash disk.

Files to be copied are

  • igolaunch.exe
  • IGOPATH.TXT
  • SettingsBackup.ini
  • TAHOMA.TTF
  • TAHOMABD.TTF

If that does not work, contact Jensen/Audiovox clicking here, they will enable a download of the language files to replace the damaged ones.
