07 audi a4 audi concert radio stuck in safe mode 2

The following is the procedure to re-activate the radio if the display shows "SAFE". It is important that the procedure be followed in the correct order.

1. Turn on radio. The radio display shows "SAFE".
2. Press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.
3. Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1.
4. Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the display, then release the buttons.
5. The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.
6. If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display. If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour lock-up - still applies.
7. If you lose your radio code, contact your Audi dealer.

I ran out of attempts to unlock the sterio on 2000 astra, what do i do now.any help would be great.

have you tried this?
Common problem. The safe message comes up when someone has input the wrong code.

There is an internal reset timer between each incorrect code input, this only starts to count down when theradio is powered up. Turn the power off before the timer runs down and you have to start again!

After the 3rd incorrect code you wait 10 mins, and then it doubles each time up to 640 mins for the 9th incorrect code!!

Simplest answer is drive around for a while (don't stall it!) until the display changes to 1 number followed by ----

Now simply press the number 1 on the radio until you get the first digit, it cycles round so if you miss the number you want just keep going until it comes round again.
Now use button number 2 for the second number, button 3 for the 3rd and button 4 for the fourth.

When you have the correct code, press and hold the AS button until you hear a bleep. Now it should be working.
Hope this helps.

How to unlock a cathedral electronic safe ea25

After opening the electronic safe (with the pre-set factory code of 159B) locate the small red button on the
inside of the door near the hinge.

2. Press the red button and then release it, you will hear a beep. DO NOT SHUT THE DOOR UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THAT YOUR NEW SECURITY CODE HAS BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY.
3. With the door open, enter your own personal security code, which can be 3- 8 digits long, and confirm your new code by pressing the letter “B” on the electronic touch pad. Before you close the door, try the new security code to make sure the lock release the knob so you can turn it and retract the live action locking bolts.
If the code fails, go through steps 1-3 again. If the code works successfully, then you should lock the safe. When you open the safe in the future enter the security code you have set followed by the letter “B” and turn the knob.

If the incorrect security code is entered 3 times you will have an automatic lockout for 20 seconds before you can try your code again. If the incorrect security code is entered 3 additional times there will be a 5- minute lockout before the code can be tried again.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
This safe uses 4- AA batteries. Under normal use, batteries will last about 1 year. When the battery is low, a red light will come on warning you that the battery is low. To test the batteries, enter your security code. If the batteries are low the red light located in the middle of the top of the keypad will start to flash.

To replace the batteries, open the safe door with your security code and turn the knob. Push the batteries cover plate, which is located on the back of the door, and replace the old batteries.

YOU MUST PROGRAME YOUR SECURITY CODE AFTER YOU REPLACE THE BATTERIES. SEE STEPS 1- 3 UNDER “ENTERING YOUR SECURITY CODE”.
TROUBLE KEY
A “Trouble key” has been provided in case you forget or lose your security code. Remove the small central panel from the front of the faceplate. Insert the key and turn it counter clockwise. Then turn the knob on the door towards the right. This will manually open your safe. If you lose your key, you may purchase a replacement key by referencing the serial number located under the central panel by the lock.
MAINTENANCE FOR KEY AND ELECTRONIC SAFE
If the door of the safe starts to rub on the door frame, open the door per the instructions above. By the door hinges you will find a threaded stem. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the threaded stem. This will help realign the door and give you trouble free access to the contents of your safe.
