Hello, if i understand you right, you have 2 cd-dvd drives in your computer and they don't work. ok, see if the secondary ide channel is enabled-in the system bios-when you turn it on- could be the f1or f2 or del key, it should say in the post screen(if you don't allready know) do not change settings,if you are not sure. if i is enabled try disconnecting one drive at a time. could be a bad one messing you up.and make sure the jumper on the drive is set, for master or cable select, marked on back of drives. did something happen? or did it just stop working? hope this helps you. reply if you need further assistance. good luck!

Maybe it is the disks you are using. Perhaps a bad batch. Perhaps there is something patially covering the laser and inserting a cleaning disk could remedy the problem too.

Iomega zip drive Z100ATAPI returns error message: "Insert Disk into drive H:" even though there is a disk in it. It is recognized by the system and Device Manager in Windwos XP says the drive is...

Just because the device manager says the drive is working fine doesn't mean it is. If it won't recognize the ZIP disk, either the disk itself is bad or the zip drive is bad. I would try another zip disk and see if it will read a known good zip disk.

Dell cd-rw drive doesn't recognize when a disk is in it

You need to make sure your drive can read CD-RW. That is a different format than "+" and is not recognized in a lot of drives. Also, what software are you using to burn the document?

The computer read the driver but it doesnt open

It sounds like Vista has recognized the device as a CD-ROM drive, but NOT as a DVD-ROM drive, and the disk you have inserted is a DVD.

Try getting an updated driver and possibly a new firmware from http://www.lge.com/support/software.jsp
