How do I correct the problem code C 0000001 on Windows 8 operating system

Solve Error Code 0xc0000001 in Winodws 8 Team Windows 8

Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or Error Code: 0xc0000001 sometime occurs without any specific issue. You can't be sure what actually caused it. Be it a system issue or some driver problem, you may end up seeing this screen when you restart your computer.

To solve this blue screen error in windows 8, turn off your computer and when you power it up again, immediately press SHIFT + F8 key you will be resented with following screen:

Click on "See advanced repair options" and from the next screen, choose "Troubleshoot":

On the next screen, choose "Advanced Options"

In Advanced Options, choose "Windows Startup Settings"

There you will find a button "Restart". Click on this button and allow the wizard to complete all the steps. Note that it will repair your computer without making any changes to it. Once the process is completed, your computer will automatically restart and you should be able to boot windows now.

Still facing same error?

If you have followed all the above mentioned steps but got no luck in booting up your windows then probably your cause of the error is more solid and cannot be restored with mere settings reset. But don't worry, it can still be solved using windows recovery options. For this you should have a recovery/installation disc or USB Flash Drive.

How to boot up computer in safe mode.

Now to get to safe mode, is a couple different ways depending on your OS.

For Windows 7
  • During boot up, press F8 before the windows splash screen, this should give you the option to boot up into safe mode.
For Windows 8
  • Open up the charms bar
  • Click Settings
  • Hold Shift before pressing the power icon
  • While still holding shift, click the power icon
  • Keep holding shift, and click restart
  • You may release shift
After restarting Windows 8
  • Once the PC boots, you'll see a screen that says "Choose an Option"
  • Click "Troubleshoot"
  • Click "Advanced Options"
  • Click "Windows Startup Settings"
  • The computer will restart
  • When the computer turns back on, you'll have the option to boot into safe mode.

How bring up in safe mode with windows 8.1 for toshiba a665-56086?

1. Restart you rcomputer and press F8 or Shift+F8 before Windows starts loading. Sometimes this method doesn't work because Windows 8 loads too fast (eg. if you have SSD).

2. If first method fails, try this. Click with your mouse the Power button (on the screen, not on the computer), press and hold Shift key and select Restart. A new scrren will appear. Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart. Your computer will restart and will ask you to choose 1 of the 9 startup settings including Safe mode.

How to turn off windows8

Fisrt, Imust offer my condolences on you having Windows 8. Now to asnwer your question.
1. the official way is a long process that involves multiple steps.
2. hit the windows key and type command. a command prompt will appear and you type in shutdown /p This forces the unit to do a clean shut off immediately.
3. Press and hold the power button if it is someone else's computer you need to turn off. It will turn off in an unclean fashion. This is the most direct method and one that the computer WILL do what you ask!
The last option also works well if you want to install linux on instead of being saddled with windows 8.

Keyboard shortcuts on a HP Black Pavilion 20-b013w All-in-One Desktop ?

Hi Julie--I'm assuming by keyboard shortcuts you mean the way you used to get to safe mode by pressing F8 during bootup. If that's not what you meant, please clarify and I can revise the answer.

The easiest way to get to safe mode in Windows 8 is to move your mouse to the lower right corner of the screen to bring up the charms bar. Click on SETTINGS ---> POWER

The pop-up menu will give you three options, SLEEP, SHUTDOWN and RESTART.

HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY and while continuing to hold it down, click on RESTART and this will immediately restart the computer and boot into ADVANCED STARTUP.

From the menu that appears, select the middle option, ADVANCED

then select SAFE MODE.

Shut down windows

Try holding the shift key down while selecting restart, then select "Turn off your PC."

Then power it back on normally. Startup will likely be a little longer than normal.

(The default "Shutdown" option in Windows 8 actually just hibernates your laptop.)

Disable intergerated video card to allow for pci card to function

You need to access the BIOS to disable the on-board video. Do you have Windows 7 installed or have you upgraded to Windows 8?

For Windows 7, turn off the computer and then turn it back on. After pressing your on switch press Delete repeatedly to access the BIOS. (Some computers use Tab or another key, you should see a screen indicating the correct key.) If Windows starts to load, try again. (I usually have to try 3-4 times to press the key at the correct time following the POST.)

For Windows 8, the boot sequence can be too fast to hit the key. Use the Advanced Restart option. Access the Charms menu and choose Settings > General > Advanced Startup. Alternatively, Charms > Settings > Power > press Shift and then select Restart. This should give you a Boot options menu and you'll be able to access the BIOS from that.

On my machine, I need the Advanced BIOS and then the System Agent Configuration. Then I select Initiate Graphics Adapter. Your BIOS may be slightly different. Go through your VGA graphics for disabling the on-board graphics and enabling the correct PCI/PCI-e graphics option.

I hope this helps.

(make sure that your power supply will support the graphics card.)

System restarts while in use

Please try to check the POWER OPTIONS/MANAGEMENT in control panel, maybe it is set to RESTART, if it is---try changing it to NEVER. Also check if the HIBERNATE button is checked (still in Power Options), unchecked it.
