Ron,
I am not sure which codes were used, but you can check out http://www.mydish.com/support/apps/remotecodes.aspx to view our entire list available. I am unsure if the AUX mode will work with the OTA converter. I have listed the steps below to do a power scan which lets it go through all available codes. If you have a model 20/21.0 remote, you can also utilize the learning function on the remote.
With the OTA Converter on, press and hold the AUX mode button (about six seconds) on the top of the remote until all mode buttons light up, then release. Press 2, then press STAR (*)
Press the Up arrow button once per second while pointing the remote at the converter. If the code for it comes up, the equipment power off.
When it does, press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light will flash three times. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.

You shouldn't need to. You should get your local channels from Dish on the low channel numbers, like 2 through 70.
SOURCE: Is it possible to have two remotes for the dish
Hello my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network customer service. There is a way to have two remotes on one TV, the first thing we need to push the menu button two times to get to the system info screen on the working remote. Then there will be a number in a white box at the button of the screen, we will want to remember that number so we can put it in for the second remote. Now once we are on the SYSTEM INFO screen we will want to get the remote we want programmed to that receiver, we will hold down the SAT button on the remote until all the buttons light up on the top of the remote. We will let go and then press the number that we wrote down and press the # button. Now both remotes will change the satellite channels.

Eugene Sebik,
I would be happy to look into this further with you! What are you trying to address? There isn't a code required for our receivers, but to program a remote to a TV needs a code. If you can provide more details, I would be happy to assist you! I have included a link below that has codes for programming the remote to most devices!
