Question about Cell Phones

Husband dropped phone into a pond

Some phone numbers stored in this phone are not available to him elsewhere. Is their any way to retrieve phone numbers from a phone that is otherwise not functioning? It took a long time to find and retrieve it.

I would try switching the sim card into another phone. this may provide the transfer bridge you need.

I have no screen and my numbers are stored on my phone how can i retrieve them with no screen

Hello,

If your phone numbers are stored on a external SD card you can plug the SD card into your computer or another phone to retrieve the numbers.

If they are stored on the phone itself(SIM card) you can transfer the SIM to a new compatible phone.

Otherwise, you may have to take the phone into your local phone dealer like AT&T or Verizon and they may be able to help you retrieve the data.

Numbers are stored on my phone how can i retrieve them

If you have a phone that is broken, a screen that is not working or just want to move phone numbers to a new phone, this article will help you do that.

If your phone numbers are stored on a external SD card you can plug the SD card into your computer or another phone to retrieve the numbers. You will need a SD card reader or a computer that already has one. Some newer laptops have a SD card reader. You can find external SD card readers at local electronics stores. I recommend visiting www.newegg.com(card reader examples) for your hardware needs. I have used this site extensively and the customer service, pricing and products are A+.

If your numbers are stored on the SIM card, you can move the SIM card to a new compatible phone. The SIM card generally contains your phone number and other account information from the phone carrier, however, you can use it to store phone contacts as well.

Your local phone dealer like AT&T or Verizon may be able to help you retrieve the data or move it to a new phone compatible phone.

My Husband did a master reset to my phone and in turn lost all my phone number's is there any way to get them back??????

Sorry there's no hope of getting the contacts back after a master reset. If you saved any of the numbers on the SIM card they will be there but whatever was there on phonebook is now erased. If you ever connected your phone to a pc through pc suite. Then you can retrieve your contacts from that PC.

The phone was dropped in water and has never worked since. Is it possiblle to retrieve the numbers at all?

If your numbers were saved on a SIM card and it wasn't ruined by the water, yes. However if it does not have a SIM card, and the telephone can not power on, my apologies, your numbers aren't retrievable.

Have a Happy New Year!

Feedback is appreciated!

Hi I don't think your sim card is fried, you can try it in ant other phone. Regarding the PUK number, that you can get from your service provider, by phoning the customer care centre. Regarding your husbands phone number, this depends if it was saved on the phone or the sim. if it was saved on the phone, you can retrieve it by putting someone elses sim in your phone and switching it on, then go to contacts and get it there. If it was on the sim, you will need to get the PUK number first to unblock the sim. If you still have the sim pack, you can get the PUK number from there. Hope you get it right Regards

Hi There, If this phone is brand new it is faulty and should be returned to seller. This problem usualyy occurs when u have a faulty flex cable either on the screen or the entire keypad assembly. One of these would need to be replaced by a repair tech for v3 phones.Hope this helps. Sam !
