hello, you can fixed this by opening the back cover of the player. Use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens be very careful because it fragile. Also observe the red beam up of light on the lens when the player is power is on , if it does not beam,the problem could be the lens or the ribbon cable used to connect the lens to the printed circuit board. if any is found faulty replace for a new one for better effectiveness
Reset you player by doing the following:
With the player on, hooked properly to your television, and on the correct station:
Open the tray
Close the tray (with no DVD inserted)
Hold the stop button down for a full 5 seconds
The CyberHome screen should appear. You should be able to play your dvd's now.
