Thanks for the feedback. I ended up contacting an internet dealer that was willing to talk me through the multi-page setup as well as configuring the PLU for each menu item. In addition, they helped me set up links to the dept's. They we put it into production. A major problem occurred when the ticket tracking feature exceeds the available memory allocated to support that feature at about 10 open tickets. Client can't input any more tickets until another has been closed. Calling support for help found that this model is fixed at a memory level that can't be adjusted. We bought a FORD and expected a Cadillac.

Hi.
It can be tricky. This is normally a dealer setup before the machine reaches you.

You will need level buttons to switch between the 3 levels. do you have these?

You should program the other 2 levels with product types the same as first level, so if there are departments on L1, then put depts on 2 and 3.

I don't have the programming manual for this model, as we have the SE series over here and it is not quite the same. If you have a manual in electronic format that you can send, I'll look through it for you. Otherwise, I can only give pointers.

That seems very strange. If you are talking about check tracking (placing items into a customer's table), then I would definitely expect it to do more than 10. The smallest i have seen so far is a Sharp machine which could do 50 tables, and 50 items per table.
Our version of your machine is the SE-C2000. I have hunted through my info on it, and not found anything about the tracking file size. I am intrigued now, so I'll do some investigating and find out what size the file is.

Casio tk 5100. How can I program a flat PLU?

Hi. These old models don't have menus for programming so you need special codes and programming tables for each task in program mode. Also, you need the keyboard layout diagrams to show how to enter characters. Without the manual, you aren't going to be able to do much.
For these older machines, I usually send my customers to Checkout tech since they have a huge range. Hope this helps:

Flexion1. Hi Mark. Still my problem with the Department assigned in place of flat PLU buttons are not resolved (Dept 1 assigned to flat PLU 007 & 014 .......upto Dept 10 assigned to flat PLU 62 &...

48 is the code for the PLU button, not a flat PLU. they are different.
To set a flat PLU, Turn key to program 4 subtotal Type the PLU number to be assigned using the numeric keys Type 063 Press the flat PLU location to save the PLU number there Press SUBTOTAL
If you get an error when you press the location, then you already have an amount in the totaliser (end of day report) for that location and you will need to do a PLU report and possibly a department report in both Z1 and Z2 modes to clear the totals of that function before you can allocate it. Let me know if you get an error and I'll help you through. Good to see that you have almost removed all of the old programming

How do I program extra departments into a Casio TK - T200. I need 22 Dept Keys

The TK-T200 comes with 30 Flat PLU buttons. These can be set to open price if you want to use them as departments. To remove the fixed price, Turn key to program mode 0 now press the PLU button you want to change SUBTOTAL
Now you will need to enter a price (no decimal point) each time you use it in REG mode.
If this is not suitable, please let me know more information about your needs.

TK 1550 casio

Hi.
I haven't worked with the 1550, but most Casios are the same.
Try this:

Turn key to program.
Press 0
Press the PLU that you want to set as open priced.
Press SUBTOTAL

That will set the price as 0 for that PLU. Now we set the feature for that PLU to allow manual pricing.

Leave key on program.
3
SUBTOATL
0
Press the PLU again
SUBTOTAL

Try that. If you had tax set to that PLU, you may need to set it again.
