Question about Computers & Internet
When I had ATT U-Verse installed, they use a 2Wire 3800HGV-B modem/router. When installed, I lost access to the printer connected to the PV hardwired to that modem from my laptop PC on a home wireless network. I previously had that access with the same physical set-up using an ATT DSL Modem and Linksys router. How can I it set-up so I have access to the printer through my laptop on the home wireless network ATT v-Verse help desk told me that don't provide support for this question...
I don't know what kind of printer you have, but I had same problem with my wifi printer (epson)
Best think to do is reset your printer to factory default and then connect you printer with the u-verse modem/server network port and reinstall your software and you should be able to install the printer again. after successfully done this then you can disconnect your network cable and should work wireless.

Is the printer connected via wireless? When I recently connected up a new wireless printer to my UVerse network, the printer manual said that establishing the first connection works better via an Ethernet cable directly to the Uverse router. After the printer is set up once, then I could remove the ethernet cable and connect to the printer via wireless from all my computers.
For all wireless PCs that were previously connected via wireless to dsl, you need to create a new network connection for each one, then enter the key that is listed on the side of your Uverse router when prompted. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to establish the connection.
I am amazed that ATT was so unhelpful on these issues. I was one of their first Uverse customers in Texas, and several times over the last years, techs would visit my house to solve a problem or hook something up, explaining to me as he went. That their helpful attitude is deteriorating is a real shame.
