Songs Won't Sync and Don't Show up in Windows Media
OK...so my songs are STILL on my iLo but not showing up in my list of songs for the device on Windows Media AND I can't sync songs on iLO any longer. What happened? It used to work fine. I get an error message: Your device requires that this file be converted in order to play on the device. However, the device either does not support playing audio, or Windows Media Player cannot convert the file to an audio format that is supported by the device.
Windows Media player won't recognize my sync device but, it will recognize it in Windows itself.

Ilo player must be synchronized, coping and pasting files is not enough:
Start Windows Media Player and select following menus: "File.", then choose "Add to Library." then the "Add"
button. Then, look for the folder where your keep the mp3s to upload.
Plug the Ilo MP3 player into USB.
Click the "Sync" tab that you find at the top of Windows Media Player . You will find the Ilo MP3 player on the right side of Windows
Media Player. If Ilo is not ther, then right-click on Sync tab and
click "Refresh Devices."
"Songs." on Windows Media Player . Highlight the son songs, and choose "Add to
"Start Sync" button that will appear at the bottom right corner of Windows
Media Player. The songs will then be uploaded to the Ilo MP3 player.

Should you have any questions..let me know.. P.S.Please rate accordingly... Thank You Computerrep
The iLO manual says you cant get songs from music stores like Napster. Lime Wire works very well on mp3 players. This same problem happend to me but then i realize it doesnt work if the songs come from Napster
you can go to Windows media player to format the device...that will delete every single songs you have in that device...when you go to Windows media player click on the sync tab then your device should be listed on the right side under devices...then right click on it and you can format it...if you have any questions you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
your ILO has somehow lost its file structure. look for a tiny pinhole to reset the device. if none, then remove batteries to attempt reset. if still no songs, then firmware upgrade if possible or copy file structure (using windows) from a friend's ILO.
The funny~.mp3 names are usually because the title field is not filled in in the mp3 property tags, so it uses the DOS version of the filename for the title. Under windows, right click the song and select properties->summary->advanced, and make sure that the title field under "description" has what you want in it. I don't think even the makers of Ilo know how it organizes the files.
