I would recommend contacting Epson support. Your projector should have a 1-yr manufacture warranty, and they can verify that once you give them the serial number of the projector. In the meantime check your computer cable (if that's the input you're using) for bent pins. You can also apply the "Reset All" option, which restore all the settings back to factory default. However, in some cases the blue LCD panel might have gone out also.

BENQ MP622C light tunnel adjustment

Hello guys,

I have a BENQ MP622C and had the same problem with shadow on the right side. I found out that there are two screws for adjusting the position of the mirror. One on the top of the light tunnel and one from the side, when you look from the front, just next to the main lens, see pics below.
It helped me a lot, maybe another 1000-2000 hours of play, hopefuly more....

I have a line down the right side of my screen, it still projects but the line and it is darker on that side of the screen; what can cause this?

The light tunnel is either out of adjustment or collasped. Given the age of your projector I would say it is the latter. This will have to be repaired by a tech or you may be able to fix if you can get the part and a service manual.

Its not lines more of hazy or blue shadow from top to bottom of right side of screen

the light tunnel is out of adjustment or is collasped.. you can take the cover off (with the machine unplugged) there are 2 screws on the engine,1 you can see thru the hole in the top off the main board, the other is down next to the power supply. that is the one you need to adjust. you will need a small allen wrench that will fitin the screw and still be able to turn it without hitting the power supply. turn the screw towards the direction of the banding. try 3 small turns and put back together and see if its better or worse. if better adjust some more, if worse the tunnel has collasped.

Part of the screen is darkened

This is due to the light tunnel being out of adjustment or collasped. Either way, it must be determined which it is. The tunnel can only be adjusted while the top is off of the projector. I've done it numerous times, but it is dangerous because the proximity of the screw to the power supply. You should let a professional fix this.

InFocus LP600 - A vertical shadow on the Left-side covering about 20% of screen.

The light tunnel inside the "engine" is either out of alignment or the glue holding the tunnel together is coming unglued and 1 of the 4 sides has fallen in. There are 2 screws to adjust this if the tunnel is still intact. One or both screws can be accessed by opening the lamp door and then you have to remove a thin sticky cover. You will see 2 small screws that will have to be adjusted with a small torx (3) or allen. You will have to have the safety switch pushed in with something and adjust while the projector is on, using the most easily accessible screw, turn it towards the direction of the "banding". It should decrease. If not, turn the screw the other way. The screw that is not so easy to get to is for adjusting the banding the can appear across the top or bottom of the screen. If the banding gets worse or even starts to show diagonally across the screen, it is a good bet that the tunnel has collasped.

this projector does not have lcd's. it has a colorwheel and a light tunnel. the light tunnel has probably collapsed and needs to be replaced if you have distortion in the middle of the display. if it were to one side or the other or a the top or bottom it may have been adjustable. But wiith it being in the middle, I'd have to say you needed a new light tunnel.
