Question about NEC PX-42VP4PA 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
I have a Nec Plasma monitor Model Number (px-42vp4a)
bought it used with only producing picture for 5 secs. with video source plugged in. no matter what video source tried all,
1. re-soldered the whole power supply no go.
2. replaced couple capacitors.
when plugged in saw sparks coming from a circuit on the power supply, need a new one did not see short in board can someone help
Hi there, i recommend replacing the entire board. once you have a short like this, the micro board itself will become useless. the thin micro circuitry has become separated within the layers, preventing a closed current transfer. its best to order a new canvas so to speak.
