BRICKed PSP is a state where its firmware (or system) no longer functions due to corruption either because of hack attempt or interrupted update of firmware. Depending on your PSP model and Motherboard, unbricking can be possible and (worst) impossible.
If you can give me the following, I may be able to help you.
1.) PSP Make (Slim or Phat)
2.) PSP Motherboard/Mainboard
3.) Last CFW installed before it bricked
You may also try doing this to unbrick you PSP.
1. Remove your battery from the PSP.
2. Put back your battery and charge it (to make sure it won't shut down while doing this)
3. Press "R" and hold it and switch on your PSP, if this fail, repeat 1 & 2 and try number 4
4. Press "R" and "L" and hold it and switch on your PSP.
If your PSP boots on Recovery Menu, you can unbrick it and play with it again.
It should work on that firmware... However, try 5.50 GenD3.
be cautious though because this CFW SHOULD BE INSTALLED to PSP Slim with TA088v3 boards or higher. if you do it by mistake, your PSP will be permanently bricked.
To download PSP games, you need to have atleast 1 gb memory card. 1. Go to http://pspiso.com/ 2. Click on downloads then iso/cso the click on a catogory then download the game you want 3. Turn your psp on to usb mode then drag your downloaded game into the iso folder if you dont have one make one in capitals eg"ISO". then on your psp menu go to memory stick in The game heading. Your game should be there if you get a message like cannot start game, try to do this:on your psp menu press "home" or the "start" button. A short list should come up wer it says umd iso mode go down to that then change that mode to oe isofs by using the right direction key on your psp. there enjoy You need to have also a custom firmware eg 3.52-m33-4 and any other firmwares. You can view the video on youtube through this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPIB_I_QJGQ
there are 2 different ways you can go about doing this. 1) buying games from psn -- with this all you have to do is set up your psp so that its able to connect to the psn. and when u buy a game you can download it to your memory stick.
2) involves installing a custom firm ware on your psp which will void warranty. you can serch the web/youtube for this. this guy on youtube helped me alot to cfw my psp.
just know that last i checked its best to cfw the 1000 (the fat original) and the 2000 (the original slim psp)series. with the cfw on newer models 3000 series (the new slim with improved display) and the go its not recommended for the cfw is not too stable. you can check the bottom side below the start button to see what model u have.. it'll probably be like psp2001 etc etc....
have you tried the sony web site? they have a step by step. make sure you are using the right type of cable that connects on the bottom of your psp system. here is the link that should help you. http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=327
