Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Remington es1000

The Remington ES-1000 was probably the best slot-head shaver ever made by Remington. I cannot believe that the market demand was so low as to prompt a cancellation of production. I believe that the production run was limited to about 4 years or so. I have 8 of these shavers and keep a couple old Remington slot heads around as well. The ES-1000 was not perfect. The batteries were way too small and stressed so battery life was poor. You could not buy individual blades as you could with past Remington slot-head units. Also, the edge of the head was too exposed and sharp and when used for body shaving would tend to cut the skin.Slot-head shavers are superior for body shaving and for skin that is suseptible to shaving bumps. They are also great for young men that are prone to ingrown hairs. My guess is that the Norelco 3 head has taken it's place. Those shavers actually use 3 small slot heads. Rumor has it that shavers.com is trying to have a new slot head manufactured in Asia.

SOURCE: Remington M8221 Help

STEPS

• Thoroughly clean the razor cutter area
• Pull off (straight out) cutters and lay aside
• Release spring clips and remove
• Gently pry up and remove rubber boot
• Pry case open starting at cutter end and bending up toward connector end
• Thoroughly clean razor interior area (blow out)
• Pull up motor and remove black oscillator bars
• Pry up the circuit board by releasing the cutter-end catch using a small tool to push it in while prying gently up on the cutter-end of the board and bending up
• Clean the board and turn it over
• Note battery polarity and mark on board if not present already
• Unsolder the battery tabs using unsolder braid. Be careful not to short the electrical circuitry as the batteries are electrically LIVE at this point.
• Remove the old batteries and fully clean off the circuit board solder-pads using unsolder braid.
• Mark the installation date on the new batteries in a place where it will be visible
• Install new batteries, making sure the polarity is correct (cut the tabs to a correct length if they extend too far through the circuit board)
• Solder the battery tabs being careful not to short the electrical circuitry as the batteries are electrically LIVE at this point
• Re-install the circuit board and other parts following the procedure in the reverse order (be sure to put a soft rubber pad over the motor to hold it firmly in place when the upper case half is snapped in place)
• Before installing the metal retaining clips be sure that the rubber boot is fully free and not pinched between the case halves
• Finalize the assembly by reinstalling the cutters and screen

SOURCE: Remington MS2-250 shaver disassembly?

This shaver was pretty clearly not designed for battery replacement. To open, first remove the screen and blades, and unhook the metal collar from the tab on the back of the case. Then carefully pry off the black inset on the front of the shaver. Underneath it, near the bottom are two screws. Remove these. The case is now only held together by several plastic latches, which can be carefully pried apart with a small screwdriver. The two 2/3A size batteries are soldered to the printed circuit board, which can be pulled out (don't break the wires to the motor) by a little wiggling. The original batteries in mine are 1100mAh, and I have just ordered 1600mAh replacements. The new ones don't have tabs - so soldering them in place is probably going to be a challenge.

Good luck.

How do you remove the battery from a Remington Dual Foil 30 Shaver?

There are two screws on the back just under where the cutter fits on. Remve shaver head then remove screws and you can then gently pry the front and back apart from the top.

If you need replacement batteries, you will find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need two

Battery is probably dead. Replacing batteries is possible but you will tear up the shaver getting it apart as the case is glued together. I suggest purchasing a lower unit. See shaveroutlet.com link below

Change battery

Most MS3 series models were not designed for battery change. The shaver body is glued together and it is extremely difficult to take apart without marring it all up.
shaveroutlet.com sells the shaver body for a very reasonable price. I suggest you consider this item instead. See link below

I dont know how to turn on my remington rs 8966 razor

The best thing here is a user manual. I do not know how to get you a manual for your specific model as your shaver was not bought in the US. In the US, your shaver was known as model MS3-3000. You will find a user manul for this model with the link below. You will find complete operating instructions in the manual.

I have a MS2 390,bought after Consumer Report article as best buy. The screen on one side is coming apart, tearing at my skin. Received as gift. I thought Remmington was a good product....

All shavers must have their heads changed occasionally. Frequency varies by manufacturer. The screen on your Remington shaver should be replaced at least every 6 months. This is stated in your used manual.
You can obtain replacements from shaveroutlet.com. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/remington-ms2280-ms2290-ms2390-head-assembly-p-391.html

Installation of this item is simple. Just remove the top of your shaver and replace with this unit
