Question about Samsung LN26A330J LCD TV

Open Question

How to change default volume setting

When I turn on my tv the volume is at the highest setting - very disturbing. Also I use it as a monitor and when I wake up the computer it goes to tv instead of pc (I think because the default setting to go to pc is just a few seconds off). I called the help desk and their only answer was to return it to the factory setting (which was the highest setting). Any help would be appreciated for this VERY annoying problem. Model ln26a330j1d.
Thanks,
Vicki

SOURCE: screen goes blank after 2 seconds

Do you have the video set to a range that this display cannot handle? Try rebooting into Safe Mode and set the resolution down to 800x600 or 1024x768 and see if it that will get you back. If so, then look up the specs of the display and set it no higher than it's max.

If it physicaly powers OFF, then you probably have a power issue.

SOURCE: Monitor turns off after about 3-5 seconds

I would say your monitor is bad if you have tried it on 2 different monitors and it does the same on both. Check your warranty expiration date, some monitors have 2 or 3 years warranty. If it's still under warranty, you may be able to have it replaced or repaired.

SOURCE: Samsung SyncMaster 710N Monitor SLEEP MODE

Hello,

The monitor is not going to sleep the power supply board is shutting down. If you can solder you should be able to repair the monitor yourself. The problem is caused by blown capacitors on the power board. Go to our web site at : www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm We have pictures of what to look for. Open your monitor and look at the power supply board for any blown capacitors, replace all that you find. The replacement parts can be ordered from several places on the internet or we can supply them for you. The replacement parts will need to be high temp and will be marked 105c. The values you need to get will be marked on the sides of the ones you take out but will be something like 220uf, 470uf, or 1000uf etc. and then a voltage rating. When you install the new ones be sure to insert them with the polarity stripe going the same direction as the old ones come out. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. If you have any questions just let us know

I hope this helps if so please rate our solution.

How can I manipulate volume on a jvc tv 2012

If you can change the volume with the user friendly circuit controls on the set (if it has any) if not not the IC that controls the amplitude to the IF and AF amps has gone bad on it. This is my best guess because I don't even know what model or type the jvc is.

Just got an Insignia NS22E450A11, 1080p LED TV. Using as computer monitor primarily. Every time computer is restarted the screen will not display properly (racing lines & dots only). Computer is older...

The computer does not know the resolution capablilty of your TV, so it set to default resolution. You need to fond out if Insignia website has the driver for your TV. Are you running XP or WINDOWS 7?

What resolution setting do I need to set my PC to , so it will work with my DP42840 TV?

for vista and win 7 users...........set resolution to lowest setting to avoid "out of range" signal. If u already see out of range then hook the regular monitor back up and then set resolution to lowest or 1024x768 (highest compatable with my graphix card). Then for widescreen on ur tv u gotta trick windows, go to personalize then screensaver then go to change power settings, then go to choose when to turn display off, choose 1 min click ok, wait one min and on resume it should turn full screen, then go back and change the "choose when to turn display off" to NEVER and there ya go!

Volume control has to be at highest volume to hear TV

Hello,

there is something wrong with your TV speaker, and that's why you have to increase the volume to the highest to be able to hear it.

The TV speaker needs to be changed in order to enjoy the TV volume well again.

Take care.

NO volume

often people make the mistake of hooking their devices to the tv using more than one input.  a cable box for example may have many different types of outputs but you are only going to use one to the tv (preferrably the highest quality connection). try switching the inputs on the tv to see if you get the same picture on two different inputs.   If using s-video, you will also need a red & white RCA cable for audio.  The order of video cable quality from lowest to highest is this: Coax(screw on), Composite(yellow, red, white), S-video(Round)+(red,white), Component(video=red, green, blue), HDMI(carries HD video & sound)

Volume problem

Similar prob with our tv. Our tv volume is all the way up, and our verizon fios set box volume is all the way up too. Can hear it as if you were watching tv in bed and didn't want to disturb the other person sleeping.

We bought the warranty (told to by several friends) so will let you know after the repairman fixes it in a few days.
