Question about HTC PPC-6800 Smartphone
HTC Mongul 6800 waste of monry. Have install and re-install ActiveSync plus downloaded 6 mth free Office 2007 with Outlook. ActiveSync starts and get close, I think, to completion and error shows SUPPORT CODE 85010014.
I'm trying to avoid a Hard Reset in order to save my contact list.
Using DELL Inspiron 8600 Laptop.
Took phone and Laptop to Sprint Store and they updated sofeware and now unable to receive email or text msg. Online Tech Support no help.
The error comes from Outlook, not active synch.

Apparently uninstalling and re-installing outlook and few more steps seem to have resolved the issue for many people.Suggest that you read this article

This error code often indicates a problem with the outlook database (pst file). Try running Outlook's SCANPST utility:
To run SCANPST, you'll need to find the utility program first and then locate where your Outlook.PST file is. You can search for these items - on my PC:
Office 2003 SCANPST.exe is in the \Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 subdirectory and
SCANPST.exe is in the \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12 subdirectory
Outlook.pst file is in C:\Documents and Settings\Julie\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
If you search for these files, be sure you use the advanced search features and select the options to search hidden files and system files
. When you locate your Outlook.PST file, write down the full path to this file.

ry the following. This assumes you have ActiveSync 4.1 installed.
1. Backup the Outlook data file (export to a personal folder file).
2. Completely remove Outlook from the machine. Do this from the control panel, add/remove programs rather than the office disk.
3. From the original office disk, re-install Outlook.
4. Go to Settings, Control Panel, Mail, Show Profiles, delete your old profile and create a new one.
5. Start Outlook and import the file you originally exported in step 1.
6. Start ActiveSync on the PC and select File, Delete Mobile Device.
7. Connect to your mobile device ande create a new partnership - Voila ! Problem solved !
