The foam in there is available at most insulation or drywall supply houses. It is used for insulating concrete walls, the cover is probably 3 inches thick so you may have to buy 2 sheets to get the thickness you want. The only issue is the cost of the foam may not be much less than a new cover.

I'm sure you've already finished replacing the foam, or whatever, but I figured I should post for other people who find this thread. The foam in one half of my hot tub cover broke with the cracks in the form of the letter "y". I just repaired mine with foaming insulator (i.e. "Great Stuff"), which is available at any harware store. The advantage of it is that it fills the cracks while bonding the two foam peices together, and it's very strong once it's cured. a couple minutes after I finished, the entire half I was repairing was almost entirely rigid!

Redwine2 is exactly right you can get new foam inserts but often they are not much cheaper than buying a new hot tub cover. You can go to www.thecoverguy.com for all information on hot tub covers and replacing the foam inserts if you need to.

Alec, that is a good advice. I have seen people use 2 part spray foam to fix a foam break. The one thing to remember is IF the foam has saturated any water then it's waste of time to repair. You can get foam panels at http://www.hottubworks.com/
Or you can call and get free advice on anything hot tub related.

I have water leaking out of left hand corner of water fall and steps going into hot tub i think it is leaking only when pump is on

Sounds like maybe the clamps have given way on your water fall return line and maybe your ozonator return. You will unfortunately have to take down the wall to get access. Check all of your unions and make sure they are tight, and then look for pools of water to show where the leaks are. If your completely insulated with spray foam look for saturation that will lead you to your leak. Once you fix the leak make sure to spray foam over your repair. How To Fix Leaking Hot Tub

Pull the plug and clean it, pull the air filter and clean or replace it, with the plug out of the cylinder cycle the motor a few times - as if you're trying to start it - but cover anything you don't want gunk to get on. If there's residual oil in the cylinder this can help flush it out.
Of course like the last answers mentioned, your spark plug's gap should be correct, and it would be wise to make sure you have the correct amount of oil in it.
If the air filter is paper, replace it. If it's a foam filter, use some foam filter cleaner, not something as abrasive and destructive as brake/carb cleaner. A mild dish washing soap and hot water in your kitchen sink will do the job but not too hot that the rim of the air filter falls off because the temp disrupted the adhesive.
Spark plugs are fine with being cleaned with the brake/carb cleaner but I'd go with the brake cleaner. I find it evaporates better with less residue.

I doubt you will be able to find the original foam ear covers. Try taking your headphones to a Radio Shack or Best Buy and see if they have something that will fit.

6 - 1
DIAGNOSIS & TROUBLESHOOTING
SUDS DETECTION
During Drain Routine
During the Drain Routine, the water level is checked continuously. Normal drain will occur until the
pressure switch senses no water in the wash tub and there is no foam (suds). The drain pump will
operate an additional 15 seconds after the pressure switch reports no water or foam.
If the drain routine operates for four (4) minutes and the pressure switch senses any foam (suds) in
the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will start the "Kill-Foam" Routine. (See description of this
Routine below.) After the Kill-foam Routine is concluded, the Drain Routine will restart. If, after
four (4) minutes the pressure switch still senses foam in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will
go into Failure Mode. The digital display will show, F02.
During Spin (Extract) Routine
During the Spin/Extract Routine the water level is checked continuously. If, during this routine, the
pressure switch senses the presence of foam (suds) in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will
stop the drive motor and the basket will stop spinning. The electronic control will count the number
of spin repetitions that are attempted due to foam (suds). There are a maximum of three (3)
attempts for each Spin/Extract Routine.
Kill-Foam Routine
1.
The Remaining Time counter is stopped.
2.
The digital display shows Sud.
3.
The Drain Pump is turned OFF.
4.
The Central Control Unit will fill the wash tub with 1 gal. (4 L) of cold water.
5.
While the tub is filling the basket will tumble 1 sec. ON/15 Sec. OFF.
6.
Once the tub is filled, the drive motor will turn OFF and the basket will rest without any
movement for five (5) minutes.
7.
After the five (5) minute rest, the remaining time counter will restart and the digital display
will show the remaining time left in the routine.
NOTE:
If the Kill-Foam routine was initiated during a Spin/Extract Routine, the tumbling action
will be reduced to a cycle of 3 sec. ON/13 sec. OFF. If, at the end of either the Drain or Spin/
Extract Routines, a suds condition still remains, the digital display will show Sud.
Sud will also be displayed for a short period at the end of a cycle, if a Suds condition was
detected during the cycle. This will alert the consumer to reduce the amount of detergent in
subsequent uses MANUAL

Samsung front load washer the air flap is making a loud flapping noise during spin cycle

I just chatted with Samsung support on this exact issue and this is the response that I got:

"I have checked the information for you and see that there is no option to stop the flapping noise."

Literally. That's it. Nothing. No help whatsoever. No creative ideas, not "really sorry" nada. Pretty annoying.

The foam instulation in my hot tub cover broke from heavy water

Pretty hard to repair. If the outer shell is intact, just use it. You may open the cover and take the foam out, duct tape it and reinstall. Other than that, you have to buy a new one. Good luck...Lee

First off, the best milk for foam is skim milk (0% fat). The higher the fat content, the less foamy your foam will be.

The foam is created by the steam/hot coffee from the lower part being forced through the doohickey and into the milk. That means that if the coffee itself isn't "perfect", the foam won't be "perfect". I've found that using different types of coffee (e.g. different grinds) or filling the coffee bin to different levels results in more or less steam/pressure being passed through, so the foam is better/worse. For example, if I put too much ground coffee in the bin or use too fine a grind, it blocks the water/steam that's going through the coffee, resulting in less coffee and weaker coffee, and also resulting in less foam.

Substitute for Woofer p/n 141760

Hi there

Replace the foam for sure. It is always better than looking for another original driver to fit to the box, as they often have foam deterioration happening as well(spares are the same age as the originals) . A great idea(once repaired) is to use an artists paintbrush to apply "Armoural" a polyvinyl protectant to the foam. It will extend the life of it by at least double. They rot in hot humidity and heat environments and there is not alot that works better than that foam. I have done hundreds of speakers here in Queensland Australia. If you live in a hot humid area, there is probably a HiFi shop near you that does repairs to surrounds also. Good Luck

Do you have a source and knowledge for replacement of foam surrounds. holler back and I can help:)

Graeme
