My kud101flss2 will not start

Good morning, today i wanted to run my dishwasher it is a kitchenaid KUD101FLSS2 built in and it had a small amount of water that did not drain from the previous wash and none of the button lights will go on, i thought it might be locked but its not. Three nights ago no water would spray so I read in this website that I should try moving the part that looks like a mushroom up and down and It worked it ran perfectly, but now this.

I'm having a similar problem with my KitchenAid KUDR01TJBT0. I do not know if it said clean or not when my daughter last emptied it but now the panel will not function and there is water in the bottom. I seem to have had this problem before and think they replaced the motor, but my wife was at home not me so I don't know for sure.

First be careful about electrocution-did one of the wires come loose underneath-but don't touch anything. Check to see that it is plugged in and also that the fuse is not blown or breaker tripped. If this does not resolve the issue, if not hardwired, check for a tripped outlet and try another electrical item in the outlet to be sure that power is going to the outlet. Another posibility is that for some reason the door is not locking and allowing the knob/dial to engage. Open your dishwasher and look at the top of the door-does the bar come across when you lock it? Keep it open and turn the knob all the way around to the end of cycle position. Close and lock the door and try again.

Good Morning Kristen - You may try to reset the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the dishwasher back on. If this proves to be ineffective, then the unit may possibly being experiencing a communication issue with the control panel, wiring failure, drain motor/pump or water valve. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Is there a drain or screen to remove and clean, have small amount of water in botton of dishwasher, always there

A small amount of water is normal and is needed to keep the rubber gaskets from drying and leaking. If it still cleans good don't worry about it.
