I would try and look at their user manuals for the adjustment. They are different on most saws. Hope this helps

My saw runs fine for about five minutes then shuts off while its ideling. why does it do that and how can i fix it?

If it is a new chain saw, then what it is, is that they set the carb to run a higher idol until the motor breaks in once this happens you have to change the low idle on the chain saw to help balance everything out. Do it in short 1/4 turns until you get it just right. Your owners manual will show you which one is high and which one is low. Please rate

Have a poulan chainsaw that won't idle/stay running and bogs down when you press the trigger control. Do you need a certain wrench to adjust carb??

no carb ajustment is done with a flat head screwdriver, first i would remove the card, disassemble it and blast it with compressed air because its probably just clogged up with varnish. to ajust the high low and idle screws bottom both out ( turn in all the way) then unscrew each one turn. from there start the saw and loosen in 1/4 turn at a time until it runs well

I have a poulan 14 inch woodshark chainsaw and it ran fine when i got it but now i have to keep gunning the gas to keep it running and i have cleaned the air filter and cleaned the carb.

Turn up your low speed jet about 1/4 turn. You have 2 holes in the side, one says slow or low and the other says high,, or fast, turn the slow jet in 1/4 or out if that doesn't work, then try it, you will find the right spot. Hope this helps.

My Poulan P3314 primer won't take in fuel or push it out.

the vinyl primer button on your carb shoots fuel into the crankshaft space. when you pull the rewind air and fuel in the crankshaft area is sucked into the combustion chamber. when the magneto reaches almost top dead center, the high voltage fires the spark plug. if there is an air leak in the gasket that surrounds the crankshaft, the air/fuel mixture will be way off. flooding will occur and the plug will get saturated. remove the whole back of your engine and clean the mating surfaces. now use high temp permatex and run a bead all around the gasket surface. tighten all the bolts - screws. push the primer button twice and try starting the engine.

You need to pretension it. Remove the pull handle, rotate the spool about 2 revolutions against the spring, rethread the cord and reinstall the handle.
