Question about Kenwood Audio Players & Recorders
I own (was given) a Kenwood KX-W6010 Dual Cassette Deck. I am looking for a users manual (none on Kenwood's site). Note that it is NOT a KXF-W6010.
Does anyone have a manual they would sell or scan?
Sometimes this is due to the tape not being pinched between the capstan and the rubber roller.
Make sure there is no slack in the tape when you put it in the deck. See if you can observe the tape going down over the capstan on the correct side.
If this isn't the problem, then the mechanism that engages the capstan roller may not to be working. In most cases, the rubber roller is mounted on the same mechanism that moves the record-play head against the tape. If this mechanism isn't moving, that would cause the problems you describe.

You may find what you are looking for in another manual. Denon has some manuals on their website www.denon.com. Look for SUPPORT tab, then service manual. On the bottom of that page, they have info for some discontinued models. Read them and you may have the answer to your questions

SOURCE: Need to find user manual.
for a start your title says "Problem with the Technics RS-TR272 Single Cassette Deck"
So is it a single or double?
i'm assuming it's a double, right only one of the decks records so put the blank tape into it make sure the tabs on the top of the tape haven't been broke or you'll need to cover the holes with the labels you get with the tape.
put the tape with the music on it, in the other deck rewind them both then press "sync rec" & they should both set off.
