Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Video playback on "video in print" card

I have to present a sample for my work. I have 2.8" video monitors I sourced from China. I can convert the video, but when I load it onto the monitor, I get an error saying empty disk, or format error? Is there a program I have to load in order for the video to play automatically? I have to convert to AVM format first. It converts correctly because I can play in AVM format on my computer. It is a video screen that is simply push button activated. I have less than 24 hours before I need to have these ready to go! Language barrier with China has been challenging. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should have been a mini-CD that came with the item, that contains the software you need to convert the video.

SOURCE: everytime I try to load videos onto my mp3 it wont

Hi dalychris,

Next time you connect the mp3 to the computer, go to the folder where the videos are dropped (generally a folder named VIDEO) and check what the extension is. If it is not mp4, you'll have to convert and resize it. There are plenty of free and paid programs available for such conversions. The standard video format for a walkman is the same as that for an ipod, .mp4, so you can try out this site: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ . There are other freeware programs available too, like VirtualDub that you can use to convert your videos, or paid programs like Xilisoft. After the conversion is done, you should be able to transfer and play the file easily.

What does dvi mean

Hello figment_of_u,
DVI stands for Digital Video Interface. They are used for direct digital connections between source video (namely, video cards) and LCD monitors. This provides a faster, higher-quality image than with analog, due to the nature of the digital format. All video cards initially produce a digital video signal, which is converted into analog at the VGA output. The analog signal travels to the monitor and is re-converted to a digital signal. DVI-D eliminates the analog conversion process and improves the connection between source and display.

Hope this helps you understand what DVI is for. Thank you for choosing Fixya.

In my walkman nwz-e344 i have downloaded several videos to my walkman but none of them but the pre loaded videos appear. i hav tried to convert these files to wmv but even after converting the videos do...

Hi,
I had similar problem that was solved by Total Video Converter software, download its trail version by clicking that link and convert video files in to mp4 format that will get playback in this player.
I select Zune Video option in Pocket Player selection that works great for me.
Click HERE to download a sample video song that is converted as mp4 format by Total Video Control software and it works great in my Sony player.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I have a dp15657 19" sanyo it doesnot have the 15

Possibly. If your video card has a TV-out capability, you can do it directly with the appropriate connector. This adapter may have shipped with the video card. Check the specs, only some cards do this.

Otherwise you need a VGA to composite video, VGA to S-video or VGA to component video converter. See http://www.svideo.com/vga2video2.html for some samples. Do not just use a VGA to component video cable; those are for connecting to a projector that interprets VGA RGB signals.

If you want to use the TV speakers you will also need a 3.5 mm stereo (male) to RCA stereo (2 male plugs red/white) adapter unless you get a converter that includes this in the unit.

I hope this helps.
