You will need to change the brushes for sure.Easy job at least.There are two types of brushes,The ones that can be fixed without taking the saw apart.The other brushes once you open the case and look at the front of the brush holders you will see some small holes.Take out the old brushes and push the new brush past the holes and push a piece of wire through the holes.Make sure the wire is long enough to go through a vent so you can pull it out when every thing on the body is buttoned up.
I use a piece of cardboard or Styrofoam to keep track of the bolts by just poking them in as I take them out,a magnet is good for the small stuff.
