Question about Minka Aire F602-BNCH Gyro? Fan

Minka gyro fan noise, my fan has a popping sound at the same point in each full rotation.

Pops at the same place on each rotation of the fan. Otherwise well balanced and smooth running.

I'd take it back and get a replacement. It has a lifetime motor warranty. I used to sale Minka Aire but always had motor problems.

There are tiny dip switches on the remote as well as on the receiver. Make sure they are set to the same sequence. The receiver is the black box that all the wires connect to in the ceiling.

SOURCE: Noise from one of the fans on gyro fan

Either the fan blades are hitting the cage, or the cage itself is rattling from the fan inside being unbalanced. Try tightening the large brown peg on the back of the fan head, and try tightening any other small screws that you see holding the fan head or cage in place.

Balancing the individual fan blades would be tricky because they spin at such a high RPM, but it could be done by using a strong epoxy to stick the correct amount of weight on the blades that need it. Figuring how much weight to put on which blades would be the hard part.

Simply disassemble where its possible and find the place of the bearings most its short right behind the propellor where the shafts come out the motor if it is hard to find for an accessible place spraying wd40 with the hose pipe on the canister behind the propellors can may be help do not use sewing machine oil because of the time being it accelerates faster dirt in the sliding bush of the shafts.

With a screw driver? And perhaps you also clean all blades. Sorry if you already did that.

1st two speeds not working

If the fans rotate on high, then they can rotate on low. So it's either the remote or the receiver that's not succeeding in adjusting the speed. You might try changing the dip switch settings to a different combination and see if that helps. Otherwise, my first guess is that it's the receiver since it has the "brains" of the unit. Also, with electronics it sometimes helps to completely remove all sources of electricity for a minute in order to reset everything. That would mean turning off the circuit that powers the fan for a minute then flipping it back on.
