You probably have a broken silicone hose connecting the steam valve and nozzle, you need to dismantle and replace the hose

SOURCE: no steam coming out of heating nozzle for Wega

Remove the nozzle on the end of the steam wand, them open valve to see if the steam wand works, if yes use a paper clip to clear holes on nozzle, if no remove steam wand where it is connected to the valve then open wand(steam will be spraying be careful). If you have steam there then clean wand and nozzle.

SOURCE: Water not coming through espresso side although steam wand works fine

you both can have same problem, solution is:

  1. low pressure of pump (or too fone grinded coffee)
  2. security valve of boiler openes to early and dont let the pump to rise pressure enough for good brewing( if it is this you can see water returning back to container if you have 2nd pipe in your machines reservoir)

SOURCE: plastic "Turbo Frother steam nozzle" blows off metal steam pipe

Pull off entire plastic wand off by unscrewing the top plastic piece. Inside the piece that connects to the screw top you should see two o-ring type spacers. The top one should be hard pastic and the one beneath should be rubber. Take the entire unit apart and clean, making sure to put all pieces back in the way they came out.

To put back on, take the top piece and put it back on the metal stem first then put the rest of the wand back on and gently push it as far up the metal stem as possible and screw back together. If you don't have the rubber spacer this could be the problem since the wand really has nothing grabbing onto the metal stem except for the rubber spacer. If this doesn't work, order another wand:

SOURCE: when I try to make espresso with my new XP2070,

David,

Most likely you have a faulty Solenoid Valve or the connection to the Solenoid Valve. This is a 3-way valve that directs the hot water or steam to the espresso head or the frothing tube.

Water, not steam from the nozzle

Most likely a faulty valve the lets the water come out before building the steam pressure. I have not seen a repair manual but it is not that easy to replace he valves. The valves come as a set and are made of plastic. Not that expensive but you will need to open the unit completely to replace them.

When I turn on the steam valve, nor hot water nor steam comes out (not one drop), it doesn't make it to the nozzle and instead it goes directly to the drip tray. Coffees dispense works...

Hi, sounds like either you have a blocked or fauly solenoid, or micro switch or the water inlet side of the boiler is bocked. This is easy to fix. You need to be able to get to the inlet on the boiler, undo the water line and drill it out using a 3mm drill bit. Dazza

Not enough steam is produced to make good froth.

I have one too and what I do is: turn all 3 switches on and while I'm waiting for the "ready" light to come on I go ahead and pour the milk into my frothing pitcher and prep my espresso basket.
After the "ready" light comes on I install my espresso basket and turn the handle to the "left" so no liquid starts coming out.
Next, I take an empty coffee cup and hold it under the steam nozzle and start opening the steam valve until I get only steam instead of a stream of hot water. Once you have steam, close the valve, put your pitcher of milk under the steamer and froth as usual to around 150 degrees.

Water coming out of steam nozzle not coffee output when making coffee

Sounds to me there might be a blockage on the brew unit, and since the pressure is so high it is going through the bypass. Clean the screen and tubes on the brew unit.

When i choose which cofffee i want to make the water comes out of the nozzle and not out of the cofffee compartment.

Hi,

Make sure your steam knob is closed and that your brewing unit is clean.

If you have this then it can be the electromagnet that controlls the steam or the electric board.
