I ran out of kerosene for my Toyotomi OM-148, I now have fuel and cannot get it to re-fire. It takes approx. 17 seconds once I restart to get a warning light. Please advise where I live I am looking at a...

If it worked fine before you ran out of gas then you have air in the fuel line. You need to open the fuel line just enough to get fuel to weep at the fitting in back of the unit. Press the red bleed button twice, and no more, to prime the unit. It may take half an hour before you finally get fuel throughout the system again. It's a pain but you've got air in your line still.

Can't light pilot light on hot water service. Gas to property is connected as the gas stove works.

There should be a trouble shoot guide on the hot water tank. I have had to do this many times. You just need to read the trouble shooting guide & be very careful. I hope this works for you.

From what you say, I would CLEAN the thermocoupler with either steel wool or a green scouring pad (dry) and then wipe off the residue with a clean cloth. If you still have trouble then it could be a gas valve that is sticking.

Water is too cool for shower. Is there a thermostat?

I do not believe there is a separate thermostat. However the installation guide: gives some trouble-shooting steps. More detailed trouble-shooting is here:

If the indicator light is off when the hot water valve is open: check your circuit breaker and the flow rate of water into the water heater (it must be over 1/2 gallon per minute). If those are okay, check the resistance of the element with a multimeter - 20 Ohms or less is good, 10,000 Ohms or so indicates a bad element. The trouble-shooting guide indicates the proper points to test.

If the indicator light is on, then check the flow rate at the shower head or faucet (reduce the flow until the water comes out hot), check that the unit is installed to the correct voltage supply and the resistance of the element.

If those are okay, then check that the printed circuit board is correctly installed and that the inlet filter isn't clogged.

After that, it's call the company for their technical support.
