How about the Support website:http://www.packardbell.co.uk/pb/en/GB/co... I suppose you could always disable it

  • Robert Bruton Apr 20, 2013

I think disabling it is the solution Max, thanks.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: touchpad tapping for MSI Wind U100 laptop

Usually this on/off feature comes with the manufacturer drivers. If (I'm assuming you are using windows) the OS was re-installed, it just uses a generic driver which does not include advanced options. And MSI seem to not provide this driver (I've searched). Maybe there is an option for it on their System Control Manager. You can download it here:

http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=utility&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474

In LINUX, it is a bit more complex, because it is not easy to get a specific driver for the touchpads .

SOURCE: need to factory set my easynote tk due to accidental hard drive erasure

You will need a backup recovery disc to reload your operational system. Since the hard drive has been wiped clean there is no other way to do this.

How do i unlock the pointer pad on my easynote

It sounds like your touchpad has been toggled to off. You need to toggle it on.

Click Start/Control Panel and look for the Mouse and open it to check the mouse properties. Make sure you don't have the touchpad disabled.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad on or off by clicking on the button that is located at the top of the touch pad in the middle.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad by tapping twice in the upper left hand corner of the touchpad.

Some models will require a keystroke to toggle the touchpad. Press and Hold the ALT or FN function key located at the lower left portion of the keyboard, then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The correct key to hit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square that represents the touchpad.

Dont know how to switch my touchpad back on when it switches off without rebooting!!

This laptop has a special feature which allows you to double tap the top left hand side of the touch pad, and it will then enable, or disable the touchpad. If you see a orange light on the touchpad, then double tap the light, and it should enable the touchpad again. On a side note, you should be concerned with why the touch pad is disabling itself to begin with!

I have a hp easynote tj 74 and when i use the touchpad, it moves too slowly when i move my finger across the pad slowly and then too fast when i do it quicker.

Go to HP Support-Enter model of your machine-check Driver downloads-find drivers for touchpad-download/install.Good luck with them! Note:If you don't know model/number let them do automatic detection.
