Transfering images to computer/ failure

Check to make sure your images are on the card, and not stored in any local camera memory. If the computer does not recognize the SD card (if used) and asks to format it, then try another computer to see if it can read the card. Finally, if the camera uses a cable, make sure the computer recognizes the camera when plugged in. When the camera is recognized, you should be able to directly view and download images from the camera. Make sure you note where the images are stored on the computer.

Does the canon pixma mp 500 printer recognize sdhc memory cards?

No, it doesn't support SDHC, the following card types are supported by Canon MP500 :
CompactFlash®, Micro Drive®, SmartMedia®, Memory Stick®, Memory Stick Pro ™, SD Card™ and MultiMediaCard™
And these are the cards which can be used with respective adapters:
xD-Picture Card™, Memory Stick Duo™ Memory Stick Duo Pro™, miniSD™ card
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Windows 7 will not recognize the camera. Canon website says there are no drivers for the camera.

images can be viewed using memory card only on Windows 7. This requires your computer to have a memory card reader that you can insert your Camera's memory card into. If your printer has a memory card reader, you could use that as well.

If you want to use the camera with a USB cable, you will need another computer with Windows XP installed as the Operating system, or you will need to purchase a newer camera that is compatible with Windows 7.

PNY Optima SD HC Card cannot be read in HP Photosmart 8150 printer.

  1. Verify that the printer is turned off.
  2. Remove the Secure Digital memory card from the printer.
  3. Examine the Secure Digital memory card:
    • Is the lock switch in the unlock position?
    • Are there any visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card?
    • Are there any contacts missing from the end of the card?
    • Are there any deep scratches in the card contacts?
    • Is there any heat discoloration on the card? NOTE: If all of the above questions result in No , proceed to Step 4.
  4. Check if the HP Photosmart printer supports the file format. NOTE: In order to know which file formats are supported by the different HP Photosmart printers, please refer to the manual of your printer.
  5. (Saving the pictures on the PC, if possible) Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the camera (or another device) and format it following the proper instructions to perform it.
  6. Capture an image.
  7. Review the image. If the image is corrupted or an error such as Unsupported Image File is displayed, the Secure Digital memory card is suspected to be defective and should either be replaced or referred to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
  8. If the images are read properly, turn on the printer. Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the Secure Digital slot.
  9. If the printer display continues to show the Card Not Recognized error, try using another Secure Digital memory card, if one is available.
  10. If the printer is still unable to read a functional and compatible Secure Digital card, contact HP to obtain additional troubleshooting information.

Canon CP760 will not recognize images. I loaded

hi,
you can try picasa-the free photo software by google to do all simple photo editing. after editing directly print the photo from the program(rather than transfering to sd card) as this will reduce chances of non-recognition by printer.
cheers

How to use the memory card reader

To access the memory card reader without using the software provided, follow the steps below. If no card is inserted, the green light on the card reader will be on.
Insert a memory card.
• Insert the card with the brand name label facing up.
• If there is an arrow on the card, make sure it points toward the printer.
• If needed, make sure you connect the memory card to the adapter that came with it before inserting it into
the slot.
Wait for the light located to the right of the slots on the printer to come on. The light blinks to indicate the memory
card is being read or is transmitting data.
• The printer recognizes one memory card at a time. If you insert more than one memory card, a message appears
on the display prompting you to remove all memory cards inserted.
• If a USB flash drive is inserted together with the memory card, a message appears on the display prompting you
to choose which memory device to use.
When reading of images is complete, the number of photos found appears on the display. Then you can make your selection and print. these are the types of memory card supported by you printer.
xD-Picture Card
• Secure Digital (SD)
• Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
• Mini Secure Digital (with adapter)
• Micro Secure Digital (with adapter)
• MultiMedia Card (MMC)
• Reduced Size MultiMedia Card (with adapter)
• MultiMedia Card mobile (with adapter)
• Memory Stick (MS)
• Memory Stick PRO
• Memory Stick Duo (with adapter) or Memory Stick Duo PRO (with adapter)

X 5470 Memory Card not being recognized by my computer

First restart your computer. Double check if your memory card is locked, this is the little switch thingy on the side of it, it should say lock somewhere near it, slide it to the part not marked lock. If this doesn't help go to your start bar, click control panel, go to printers and other hardware, click on the memory card you are trying to recognize. Then it should give you some options on what to do with it and one should be load to your standard Lexmark Imaging Studio. I hope this helps!

You can take out the memory card from camera and then download a memory card recovery software to recover photos from memory card, you can refer to this tutorial that helped me before
http://www.asoftech.com/articles/how-to-recover-lost-photos-from-memory-card.html

If needed, you may do a quick format of the memory card and then use asoftech data recovery to recover your files.
