Need wiring diagram for model 106.9535580

Blower fan not working. If you jump the ground terminal of the motor to the safety ground terminal the motor will run.

Good trouble shooting TD, the evap fan runs through the defrost T-stat. Change it out and you should be set. Catriver.

If you are reading the ohms between all the terminals you should get a reading. If between one you said there was no reading. Try touching one lead to one of all three and the copper tube outside the compressor, if you get a reading the compressor is burned out. In the case of the readings between all three teminals if one shows nothing the internal bi-metal overload is open due to hard starts. Make sure the power is off when doing this and the wires are unpluged from the compressor pins, there position

You almost have it Look closer at the run capacitor. It has Herm, this is for the compressor, Com or C and F or Fan.

1 of your power wires is the fan speed so connect them accordingly usually black is hi, blue med, & red is low. You are "feeding" voltage to the selector switch on 1 side and coming out to the fan motor speeds.

Next you have a "Common" wire on your fan motor (this means its Common to all the other connections inside the fan motor to me. It is usually white. Connect this to the other line of power usually the Com on the capacitor unless it connects to a strip on the selector switch. But 1 of these 2 places will be the other side of your Power when plugged in. Lastly the brown it is usually the fan capicator only wire and it will connect to the fan "F" terminal on the capicator this terminal will not have any other wires connected to it.

Diagram for heater blower wiring ford contour blower not working some wires look melted


I need model year to be sure I post the correct diagram? Probably a two wire connector at the blower motor, voltage and ground. Check voltage and ground, if your missing one or the other, track that circuit. If you have both good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. I need more info.

2009 blower motor not working.yellow wire has power when key is on even if fan speed switch in off position. Shouldn't it only have power when fan speed switch is turn to on?


It depends on how the circuit is set up , It may go through the fan to switch to ground . What make , model an year vehicle ?

Did you check for voltage and ground at the blower motor connector? You may be way ahead of me? Different speeds are controlled on blower motor ground circuit. In the diagram, the top wire at blower motor is voltage and the bottom wire is ground. The diagram may not be what you wanted? Brown is voltage, orange is ground at blower motor. Maybe you can hit control and plus on your key pad to enlarge diagram.

Hi Jim, I will try my best to help you. First off, let see what we are losing at the blower motor. Three things I want you to do. #1-With a multi-meter check the power side at the blower motor connector and see if you have a full 12 volts. #2-With a test light hooked to the battery positive terminal, check the ground side at the blower motor connector to see if you have a good ground, the test light should be good and bright. #3-With the multi-meter set on ohm's check across the actual blower motor connector a resistance reading of up too 7 ohms is OK, but if you have a reading above like 14 to 22 ohms then replace the motor. Not sure what a common relay terminal is.
The blower relay gets power from a 50amp fuse. Power goes to the blower motor and the resistor and speed switch provide the ground circuit. The on signal for the blower relay comes from the selector switch.

I have a 5,200 BTU Maytag window AC. The fan will not start when turned on. The motor hums but will not turn. I lubricated the bearing so it will turn very easy. Is there a starting capacitor for that...


The motor could have or not have a capacitor. You will be able to know if you can look at the wiring diagram which will be on the unit under the case, or disassembling the electrical compartement. The capacitor will more than likely be in the electrical compartment. It will look like a battery, and will probably be a 3 post capacitor. The fan will be connected to "common" and "fan".

To check the capacitor you will need an ohm meter. Unwire the capacitor on the fan and common terminals, marking where the wires go before you pull them off. Take the leads of the ohm meter, turn the meter to its highest ohm setting and touch the two posts with the leads. If the capacitor is good, the needle of the ohm meter will jump up, and then back down. If the ohm meter does nothing the capacitor is open, if the ohm meter needle jumps all the way over and doesn't come back down, it is shorted.

The blower motor has a resistor attached to it that probably has gone bad. When you use the fan select switch, power is sent through one of the resistor channels to control the speed of the blower motor.

You can test to see if the resistor is completing the ground circuit by connecting a wire from ground and touching it on one of the resistor terminals. If the blower motor comes on, then the speed control switch may be bad ( or the wiring harness is not making the connection). If the blower doesn't kick on, then try touching the ground wire on the negative side of the motor. The motor should rotate. If not the motor is bad. If it does rotate, the resistor is bad.

Our heater stopped working and I need to know how to check if it is actually the blower fan or just the riostat


Raise the hood and locate the blower motor on the fire wall of the passenger side. You will need two pieces of wires possibly with connectors on them to plug into the motor. Look at the existing harness, one wire should be black, that is the ground, there is possibly three other wires, they will be your high, med, and low. You can directly wire from the battery to the terminals and see if the fan works, if it does, Go to your switch or your resistor. If it dos'nt, good chance its bad. Please be careful, It might be helpful to obtain a Haynes manual and locate the wiring diagram.

Maybe not! there is a limit switch that has opened not allowing power to pass and start the furnace. You will need to tale a Ohm meter and follow the wires thru any safety switch. In your case, it may be the thermo-disc near or over the burner box. Jump it out to test it. Now why is your blower not working (which could have been the reason why the thermo-disc opened)? Once you find which safety switch is open and you have jumped it out, take a jumper wire and jump between the R and G terminals on the circuit board. This should start your fan. If not, either the fan is stuck, the fan motor is bad or hopefully noy; the circuit board is bad.

three things left to check,
using test light see if you have power at motor with key and switch on,if you do replace motor,if not locate blower motor resistor it will be close to motor,check for power going in,last is the heater control assembly
