Have you tried another cord/transformer? Has the AC/DC jack plug been damaged due to a pull on the cord? Perhaps a component has blown.

Has power but does not turn on the red light in the front

Check the power board's output voltages. Check whether 5V output is there. It is the standby voltage. If this voltage is absent, the front LED will not light up, or the set will turn ON.

My tv wont turn on

A model number might tell me more but basic steps are:

1. If power or standby light comes on main fuse (connected to power cord) is good, if not open and examine the fuse.

2. Fuse is good: with back off someone needs to check voltages on power board--most sets have them marked on top of board at various plugs.

3. You need to check the voltages right when you turn it on---do they each come up and stay up or come up and drop off.

4. If one or more come up and go down you need to disconnect the power board (output side) and see if voltages are good---if disconnected and no voltages or they fall instantly--bad power supply.

5. If power supply good disconnected follow the plug that is pulling it down----a specific voltage like say 3 or 5 volts being held down is microprocessor areas---each voltage will go to a specific number of places.

This is troubleshooting to locate where or which board is the cause.

Then you have to buy the board and try it to see if it fixes the set.

Hope this helped you understand and maybe find your problem.

Virea tv has just stopped working. Whilst watching it has switched itself off and there is no standby light or anything. All power cords and supplies are fine but it won't switch back on.

Good day!Follow this D.I.Y procedures to find the exact problem of your TV.
  1. Remove the back cover of your TV.
  2. After that, find the power supply board.
  3. If you already found the power supply,plug-in your TV and power it ON.Check the input voltage of it,using multimeter (AC range). If the power supply have no input voltage the problem could be the power cord.Replace it.
  4. If the power supply have the input voltage, try to test the output voltage if have 5vdc for the system and logic supply,12vdc for the sounds and 24vdc for the back-light inverter.Use your multimeter tester (DC range) to test that.
  5. If the power supply have a voltage outputs such as 5vdc,12vdc and 24vdc and the problem is still there. The problem could be the main board.Replace it with the same type and model # because the main board is no very difficult to fix and its very sensitive.
  6. If the power supply have no output voltage or the voltage is too low, just ignore the step # 5 because the problem is not on the main board, its on the power supply board.
Check the following to fix the power supply board:
  • Fuse: Check the fuse if it is busted or blown.
  • Power transistor (regulator): Check the regulator if it is shorted or leak.
  • Resistor: Check the resistors specially the one that have a low resistance that near the power regulator.
  • Capacitor: Also check the capacitors if it is leak or bulging top.
NOTE: If you found any defective parts or components that mention above replace it with the same value, type and ratings.

I hope this solution will be helpful.Thank you and good luck.

Turned my sanyo dp42410 off last nignt and now it wont turn on no led light on he front nothing

Good day!

The problem of your TV is on the power supply.
Please follow this procedure for D.I.Y troubleshooting.
  1. Remove all screws at the back.Open the cover.
  2. Power ON the TV.Check the input voltage of power supply from the cord.If supply form the power cord replace it.
  3. If you have voltage supply from the cord.Check output voltage form the power supply board and for sure you have no supply on it because the indicator didn't lights up.
  4. Check your power supply board such as fuse if busted, power transistor and diodes if shorted,open/change value resistor and leak/bulge on top capacitor.
  5. If you found that replace it and try to power it on again. Then check the output voltage such as 5vdc for the system board,12vdc for the sounds and 24vdc for the inverter.
  6. If you got that 3 supplies your TV is OK.
Note:If this procedure is not fix your problem it means the power supply got a major trouble and not for D.I.Y..I suggest to you as a technician to buy a new power supply board or give to the qualified technician.

I hope this solution will be helpful.Thank you very much and good luck.

I have a Bowflex TC1000 that will not start. The console powers up, the red light on the power switch lights up and the green led and red led on the controler board are lit. A/C voltage to board is 120...

Check to make sure the yellow safety key is securely inserted into the console. If not, the control board will not send power to the motor. If this does not resolve the issue, check connections and continuity of wiring from console to control board.

I cannot turn on my tv. when i press on there is a red light blinking at the bottom of the right hand side corner. the red light is blinking 1 slow bit and 2 fast bit and it repeat again and again even...

this case mostly encountered now with in the flat panel television even in other brand, which need thorough troubleshooting. i am hoping that this ideas can help you to fix the problem.first thing to do you will need to open the back cover to access all the board for trouble shooting, there are many things to considered why doesn't turn on but before you go on in trouble shooting let examine first the board look for burnt parts or even PCB foil pattern. and then now turn on your TV then check output voltage at power supply according to its label make sure are all present. if their is a problem with in the output voltage disconnect all the load side then check again, then if you noticed voltage doesn't good unplug the TV then check the filter and the output filter capacitor, use capacitor checker for good reading.aside the parts from power supply you will need to check blown fuse link at control board.
