Just rebuilt carb, runs OK but needs some adjusting. where should start?

Sometimes hesitation means a vacuum leak. Check all hoses to the carburetor and also cap any unused connection tabs. The cap is usually a small rubber cap that slips over a tab.

I have a 02 Grand caravan that has new radiator, termostat, one new fan. the temp gauge goes up to max hot the drops right back down in seconds. what could be the problem?

it could be you have an air lock in the cooling system
remove the rad cap from the rad, start the engine and let it run until the coolant drops (add to fill it back up) or until the coolant boils out of the rad spout.

maybe pull the heat sensor. -replace it OR clean it off, reinstall it.

Car starts and run no power

Could be one of a few possible problems, could be a plugged catalytic converter,a bad ignition coil with the spark jumping out the side of it instead of the terminal or even low fuel pressure or could have jumped time on the timing belt.what engine is in it? how many miles are on it? have you had the timing belt replaced? tune up? biggest question i have is..does is accel better when pushing the pedal slowly but breaks up pretty bad under hard acceleration? if it does-try a tune up (plugs, wires) just to start with to see if it helps

I have a 2002 Neon (MTX), My speedo died, I troubleshooted all the way down to the ******, replaced the speedo drive gear and a bearing. Filled ****** with fluid, started car after all engine components...

Try a bigger battery or a battery charger.swap it to give enough power to start the engine. If that doesnt work than try checking the starter solenoid at your local auto store

Engine hesitating during acceleration

Ok, there are many issues here that you will need to inspect. I recommend changing the fuel filter and pump as well. this will fix the hesitation. the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets will need to be replaced as well. this will stop the backfiring.

I also recommend checking and running a teat on the PCV valve and inspect the PCV hose as well. it could have a leak or a small crack on it.

Check the air filter and change if needed. this will help with acceleration issues as well. Next, i would run a check on all plugs and the complete wire set as well. change if needed.

Inspect the injectors for leaks and lose wires. make sure they are in good condition. replace any injectors that isn't firing properly.

Ok, there are some sensors that you will need to check as well. i will list them below.

SENSOR CHECK LIST--

1. Check the O2 sensors for worn wires.
2. Check the MAFS(Mas Air Flow Sensors) Check for Damaged, Loose, or Faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor or Circuit.
3. Check the Air Cleaner Temperature Sensor. this sensor could be damaged ro have loose wires. check accordingly.
4. Check the Throttle Position Sensor. this device could be connected wrong or it may be faulty as well. replace if needed.

Be sure and inspect all the above and repair any problem spot you ruin across during your inspection.

Please rate and god bless:)

Tempreture gauge drops to cold and car stops

Sounds like faulty engine temp sensor. When it drops to cold, the engine control unit picks this up and alters the fuel mixture accordingly. The ECU will be making it a very rich fuel mixture for cold starting, hence very poor running when engine is hot.

HI
THE PROBLEM IN THE(ECT) ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR ITS IN THE ENGINE ROOM NEAR THE THERMOSTAT WHEN IT COLD THE ENGINE TAKE THE FUEL AND START UP BUT WHEN THE ENGINE WORM UP THE FUEL IS TOO MUCH AND AFTER HOURS THE ENGINE BE COLD AND NEED TOO MUCH FUEL TO RUN
TEST THE (ECT) BY DIAGNOSES DEVICE OR BY (AVO METER) IT RANG 2,5 VOLT WHEN COLD TO 1,1 VOLT WHEN WORM UP
IF IT OK THE PROBLEM IN THE FUEL INJECTORS HAVE A LEAK FUEL IN IT
