SOURCE: operating system not found

Hi there.
Hard drives don't come with operating systems on them, you have to reinstall the OS yourself either with your recovery CD or an install disk.
Post back if you need anymore advice.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

SOURCE: Win Xp Drivers for sony vaio vgn-fw230j

Go to download the drivers that you require from the Sony WEB site, to their support/download page. Make sure you input your model laptop and select the Windows OS that matches your installed operating system.

SOURCE: sony vaio operating system not found when computer

You can try running the installation/recovery disc that came with the computer or the built-in recovery system (if it has one) to try and repair the windows installation. The problem is if the computer is saying that the operating system is not found then critical files got deleted from something like a virus or the hard disc drive has stopped working. You may have to do a format and re-install of the windows OS.

SOURCE: Sony VAIO VGN-CR320E Motion eye camera never

Have a look in device manager Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc
have a look under imaging systems click on the + sign and see if you have a Camera listed
Also on Sony they should have supplied an application for the camera maybe called ArcSoft WebCam Companion - see if you have that program folder - listed at all

When I turn on my laptop all it says is "operating system not found. How can I fix it?

it means it cannot find your harddrive.

this could be a faulty hardrive or a corrupt master boot record.

depending on operating system you may be able to recover with the cd or google fixmbr.

or you have not loaded an operating system

Hi my Sony vaio just got a little wet and Whene I open it says operating system not found I press F8 and F10 it just tells me operating system not found how much does it cost to fux this

hi

shut down computer - remove power adapter, remove battery

use a blow dryer to dry off excess water or liquid from area . if your keboard got wet, you need to remove keyboard and blow dry that area, but dont get the dryer too close to the circuitry to avoid damage by heat. if this does not resolve issue -- let it dry for several days
start computer after 3-4 days... if problem persists, call a Sony service business center.
