The keyboard needs disassembled and cleaned should be done by a person that knows the machine.

Return key has a bad solder joint, it's not that hard to repair if your so incline, try to get the cover off and we can go from there, ( be leave it or not getting the cover off is much more difficult than the repair??good luck, Bret

Olivetti Underwood Studio 44 ribbon won't advance.


Remove the top cover, remove ribbon spools, press a key and grab it with your finger, note the mechanical motions toward the ribbon advancer movement, usually found near the center of the ribbon holder or could be on the outside edge also, there is a reverser mechanism also that should be fully to one side or the other, it switches the ribbon direction to avoid a 'dead end' while typing. By moving the key toward the platen and away it should drive the ribbon mount spool by a shifting drive lever of some kind. If you cannot resolve this issue, take it to a rare typewriter repair shop, it is too hard to explain in this format, and mechanical skills are involved, hope you have them, ;)

Sticky keys on WPT-61 model


If you have to press hard to enter a key the rubber contact sheet needs replaced. Contact NADIST.com or 800-809-7138.

Sticky isn't a really good description but i'll guess that you mean that you have to press it hard.
Under each key is a foam pad that makes contact. The foam gets old and crumbles, the pads can be replaced but generally not by the user.

Wheelwriter 6 typewriter hammer no longer strikes


It is pretty common for the pad on the solenoid to strike the keys wears out, and for the batteries to be dead for the memory. Your machine probably needs a good cleaning, oiling, and a new pad for the striker. about $100.00 in the shop.

Selectric III Key Stuck


remove the cover , latch on bottom each side of unit.
turn it on is the belt running or jumped off.
if it is running then the clutch is jammed.

MARGINS


Move carrier to left margin press margin release, top left hand side of keyboard, back space to desired position and press L Margin key.  Margins will reset to default if batteries are dead.   Right margin simply space to whever you want the margin and press R Margin.
