The printer might be out of one of the colors of toner. Most color laser printers will revert to black and white when either the cyan, magenta, or yellow toners run out. Check to see if any are empty or near empty. Also check the settings on the printer and your computer to make sure that it is set to print in color.
I'm going to assume that there's a letter next to the message on the display about the toner being out because I have a Samsung color laser printer and it gives the same message.
C = Cyan (Blue)
M = Magenta (Red/Pink)
Y = Yellow
Other than that, got to your printer control menu on your computer and find the status menu. It will tell you what's out.
Error indicates a problem with the Cyan toner
Try the following steps:
Power off the printer/MFP and open the toner access
door. Reseat all of the toner cartridges. Power on the printer/MFP again and
print a test page.
Did the error message return?
Power off the printer/MFP and remove the developer unit for the color specified
in the error message, and then reseat it. Try printing another test page, verify if you're still getting the same error.
It is possible that specified color's toner cartridge and developer unit are
defective. If you have a replacement toner cartridge and developer, install them
as a test and print a trial page.

There could be several reasons for this. Try the below steps one after another to check if this fixes the issue.
Step 1 The moisture content of the paper might be uneven, or the paper might have moist spots on its surface as a result of environmental humidity. Store the paper in a moisture-proof container. Try removing the top few sheets of paper from the paper tray or use paper from a different source (such as another ****), or try a different brand of paper.
The paper lot is bad. The manufacturing processes can cause some areas to reject toner. Try a different kind or brand of paper.
Step 2 Run the MPF cleaning utility from HP ToolboxFX Cleaning of the Toner as well.
Step 3 Replace the Cyan(blue) toner as it may be low on ink
