You are going to love this answer.

I have two Bunker Hill Safes. I bought them at the same time. The batteries in both of them died at the same time. And like a dummy, I had the keys to each safe inside themselves.

So, after going to many forums and looking at videos on youtube. I found the solution and it worked. I now have the keys for the two safes in my combination safe. (no batteries on that one)

Here it is:

1) Get a soft rubber mallet (a hammer with a rubber tip works best) And of course, you can get those at Harbor Freight where you bought the safes.

2) FIRMLY tap the safe, just ABOVE the key board panel, and on the plastic cover. You must be hitting the top of the door and not the body of the safe, in order for this to work. (The locking mechanism internally will bounce up when you do this.)

3) At the same time, you must try to turn the knob/dial, that opens the safe. It will take a few tries to get the timing down, but it works.

On my first safe I did scratch it up a bit and crack the plastic housing a little. On the second safe it did it perfectly and left no marks on it. After doing that I was kind of freaked out on how "secure" these safes really are.

But how many people are going to know this.

Now I change out the batteries every year on my Birthday.

Good luck!!

SOURCE: i have a bunker hill

Bunker hill safes have a hand held programmer (for installers only) that will allow a "power open" on the safe. Basically it is a small unit that contains batteries to provide power to the safe. It's kind of a one-last-open tool.

Unfortunatly you will have to go to a locksmith or installer for these safes in order to have them do a power open.

If you go to a locksmith that doesn't have one of these unit s/he will offer to drill the safe or pick the lock for you.

This may be your only option if you don't have a dealer in your area.

SOURCE: have a bunker hill safe. battery died. lost

Remove the sticker on the front panel with the SKU number, behind it will be a small hole, use a small screwdriver to remove the screw, then carefully remove the number pad. You will see the place to use your key.

If you can open the safe, then contact a locksmith and see if a replacement key can be made, or if the safe can be re-keyed. Keep looking for that key!

I have a bunker hill safe digital, and battery is too low to open the safe and cant find my key, probably inside, any suggestions

If you have the small electronic Bunker Hill safe with lost keys and dead batteries, this is a potential solution... Take a hammer and strike the top of the safe while attempting to open at the same time. You may need to place on object on top of the safe such as a flip flop shoe to strike with hammer to smooth out the pressure when striking. It should pop open after several attempts.
