I have a 1990 Celica, trying to put in new radio. Got everything wired up correctly, Constant - blue/yellow, acc - gray, ground - brown and it won't come on. Radio fuse (top center 15 amp) is good,...

You have it right. Use a 12 volt test light to see if there is power between the gray and brown wires when the key is on. If there is power there, you may have got hold of a bad radio.

I have a 2000 honda accord se and the obd scanner pulled up a p1399 code im trying to find out what the decription is

right off all data

p1399 is a random misfire code and honda has reported for various models that this could be caused by clogged egr ports, in addition there is the possibility that the valve clearance spec may be out of range.check plugs and wires first and proper gap.

Volume problem the mute sign comes on but no volume. The caption works

Ensure that your AUDIO MODE is not set to SAP.

Check the AUDIO MENU and confirm that it is either MONO or STEREO.

SAP is the Secondary Audio Program (decriptive video for visually impaired) and will not always have sound on every channel.

Also ensure that your SPEAKER SETTING in the AUDIO OPTIONS MENU is NOT set to OFF.

If it is not simply a setting problem in your menus, then it may be a hardware fault in the main circuit board. If this problem occured just after a power failure or a brief power flicker, then it is certainly possible a component was damaged on the main board and is affecting only the sound.

I have a 92 isuzu rodeo ls and i have an after market radio to put in but i dont want to pay to put it in how can i doit my self

I have the very same CD player in my Rodeo. Remove speakers from doors then rear speakers to determine color code of wires.WRITE THIS DOWN! When you remove car radio-the wiring decription on it will be self explanatory. I left the night time driving lighbulb wire disconnected (brightens when headlights are turned on). This CD player sounds very good too! Careful! don't push volume up too much if you are using factory speakers-you'll blow them.
